I had my upper ear (helix) pierced with a needle about 4 weeks ago. At the back of my ear near the hole is a bump and in the front of my piercing is another bump that is protruding out around my earring (captive bead ring). I just started doing sea salt soaks and when I do the soaks the bump at the back of my ear oozes a little puss (gross!). What could this bump in the back and front of my ear be? Hypertrophic scarring, keloids, a boil? Should I get my earring changed? Other suggestions?

I got the top of my ear pierced (helix) about 13 days ago with a professional piercer (done with a needle). My piercer told me I can change my earring (right now it's a captive bead ring) in two weeks. At the moment my piercing still hurts when I clean it and move the earring (Can't sleep on it). I was wondering should I change the earring to a stud or keep the bead earring? I also have a small bump at the back of my ear near the hole. Is this something to be worried about? I'm going to try sea salt soaks but my main question is should I change the earring? Is it causing the irritation?

I just got the top of my ear pierced (Helix) about 12 days ago by a professional piercer (with a needle). I've been taking good care of the piercing, using anti-bacterial soap and ocassionally putting bacitracin on it. The other day I noticed a bump near the back of the hole/earring ( the earring is a captive bead ring). I think the bump is next to the hole, not actually on it. I've read about keloids or scarring but I just got my ear pierced less than two weeks ago. Is this normal? What is it? How can I make it go away? I go back to my piercer on Monday because he said I can change my earring in two weeks. Should I change the earring if it is causing irritation and causing the bump? Should I leave the earring in?

I would like to up-grade my verizon wireless phone. I've been month to month (bill wise) with verizon for several years. I would like a new phone but I recently have had a bankruptcy. (Phone was not included in bankruptcy!) My bill still gets paid every month faithfully. Will the deny me a new phone? Or make me pay an outrageous deposit?
