  • Help identifying a current cinema advert?

Anyone know what this current cinema advert is? All I have to go on is that it's probably some kind of skincare product (I thought it was clearasil, but that's coming up empty in searches). There's a boy looking into a bathroom mirror as he applies the product and then, later in the advert, there's a girl who gets her bag caught on something, possibly a bedpost.

I know this isn't much to go on but any help would be most welcome!

    Thank you,

    LZ

Does anyone know what this spider might be? http://yfrog.com/mispiderkj

I live in the UK and am fairly sure it's not an indigenous species! It was found dead (thankfully) in an outbuilding in my friend's garden

  • Why are all photographs of "UFO's" grainy and taken from far away ?

Has anyone EVER seen a good, detailed, close-up photograph of an "alien spacecraft"? Why not?

Could it be that it's because if you're close enough to take a picture like that then you can see what the UFO really is, and don't automatically jump on the "oh my god it must be an alien ship" bandwagon?

  • If UFO's are really alien spacecraft....?

...then why don't amateur astronomers report more of them than any other group of people, since they spend more time than anyone else looking into the night sky?

  • Is God the ultimate 'big boy'?

In Scotland there's a saying, when you are a child and wish to deny responsibility for a naughty act - "It wasn't me, a big boy did it and ran away". So my question is: is the concept of 'God' the ultimate terminus of that train of logic which leads the child to deny responsibility for their actions (and, similarly, when they can't explain the creation of the Universe, attribute such creation to God)?

    Your thoughts, if you please....

  • WW2 book recommendations?

I'm currently reading Winston Churchill's extensive 4-volume memoir of World War 2 ("The Second World War") and am wondering how this work is generally viewed in comparison to the rest of the WW2 literature? For example, is it regarded as particularly accurate? Does it seem overly biased? That kind of thing.

Also, can anyone recommend any other books that are widely regarded as definitive works on this topic. I'm looking for works that are generally accepted as being the best in the field, not just personal favourites, please.

    Thank you!

  • Can anyone please identify this movie?

I remember seeing a movie about 30 years ago on TV.

The basic plot outline that I can remember is there was a plane crash in the desert; a group of US people thought they had landed but as the movie progressed it became apparent that they had died. As rescue teams found their bodies, each 'survivor' disappeared.

This was a black and white movie and I would guess that it was from the mid to late 50's, possibly early 60's.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

    Regards,

    LZ
