How long does it take feline siblings to reacquaint themselves after being apart for more than half their lives?
My (female) cat's sister is coming to live with us soon. They were in a cage together for the first six months of their lives and then lived together with my parents for three years. Now, I've had one of them for the past six years and I'm adopting her sister soon. Can I just put them together? Or, if I have to separate them at first, for how long?

I'm adopting a little Shih Tzu dog and the traditional wire brush doesn't seem right for his fur. I'm looking for suggestions to make his daily grooming more comfortable for him, yet effective in keeping his fur soft and tangle free!

Most of us are not willing to sue a former employer, but still would love to speak out about unfair, unethical, dirty practices. Is there a forum somewhere online for this? I mean, if I knew a local restaurant owner was treating his servers like slaves, I wouldn't eat there! Would you?

I've been following Jestina Mukoko's case (she's a newscaster in Zimbabwe who spoke out against President Mugabe, and then was abducted in early December and has been incarcerated, tortured, and refused medical attention). So, I want to be able to pronounce Tsvangirai's name correctly, since he's the MDC leader she's accused of supporting.
2 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoIs there anything I can do to help my cat not be so scared when I'm in the shower?
In my previous question, I asked why my cat meows so much when I'm in the shower and the consensus is that he's scared because cats don't like water. So, now I'm wondering if there is some behavioral training I can do with him to help him overcome his anxiety.
He's a really good cat, usually very calm, loving--a great companion, comes when I call him, really a sweetheart!. So, I want to help him!
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give. Yahoo Answers ROCKS!
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoWhy does my cat get so upset when I take a shower?
He meows and meows, and then, as soon as I come out, he wants to hop up on my shoulders (so I have to hurry to put on a robe to keep his back claws from accidentally getting me). Once he's up there, with his head on my right shoulder and the rest of him wrapped around to the left, he purrs and seems very happy. Is he scared something will happen to me in there?
FYI, he also seems to get very distressed (meows profoundly) if I shut the bathroom door. Can any cat behaviorists out there give me a clue?

Specifically, I'd love to find something in Alexandria, Egypt or the UAE or Morocco!

My sister is telling me I'm going to have all kinds of problems. I love to get the truth from someone who knows. Will I have trouble getting a visa to go there to get married? Will I have trouble getting the paperwork done to stay there and work at his family's business? Does anyone know first hand how it works?
