I have a 1980 yamaha chappy, that doesn't want to start, I replaced the plugs, and threw some dry gas in it, and neither of those did the trick. I'm going to clean the carb today, but is there anything else it could be? What are some good ideas of things to check, I've heard that I should run it with starting fluid for a few seconds to test compression, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea on a 2 stroke. I am a fairly big guy and I'm looking for a decent used motorcycle. I'd like to do something small like a 250, since it's my first bike, but I'm concerned that I'm too heavy, and it won't take me up the long steep hill I have to go up to get to work. Does any big guy have experience with 250's and being big?

I play high school baseball in northern Vermont where there's still tons of snow, know any drills I can do indoors to get ready for the season, I've been keeping active all winter I'd like technique things to get the rust off.

My grandfather just died and it was not at all sudden, because of this I just didn't feel very sad, human emotion is natural but it doesn't seem to me like I ever had any hope for him living, could this be a bad thing if I were ever sick, would I not be able to fight, I hate to sound this selfish but It's sort of a hard question for me to answer. Normaly I wouldn't trust a forum with this type thing but I figured why not give it a shot, thanks a lot

I am the President of the Sophmore class of Lake Region Union High School, in Northern Vermont. I've been approved to lead a fundraising effort for charity with my class. The rest of the class representitives have agreed we should do something with an ecological charity like the Arbor Day Foundation. We'd prefer it to be a low, or no cost fundraiser. Does anyone have some ideas?

My son is 19 works at friendly's and has lots of clothes. I'm not sure what to get him for christmas. He is a manager at a friendly's restaurant, and a business major in college. General ideas would be preferable, he has a short commute to work around 1.5 hours.

So anyway, my social studies teacher and I had a debate outside of class. He thinks It's not known how to make anything like greek fire with even modern day supplies. I pointed out that the alchohol gel type substance is similar but he says that it isn't produced anywhere near as easily. basically i want to produce something "my own personal risk" similar to greek fire. right now I'm thinking some type of resin mixed with petroleum. I work at a hardware store so supplies that can be found there would be prefered. Any ideas?

They made some cookies and I baked the batter. they are not authenticated but I'm wondering what they'd be worth. And yes I'm serious an october/november episode of extreme makeover will show them making the cookies

I'm 15 living in a house in the Back woods of Vermont. i'd like to know how to get some privacy in an open loft, of course all teenagers want privacy in there room but my mom who commutes to work is up and having breakfast with all the lights on at 4 am. i'd like to be able to sleep during the summer. but my parents insist that i must keep the rustic feel of the house. Is there some kind of retractable curtain I could use that would do this. or anything really that wouldn't be very diffictult to install or be impossible with a loft ceiling that slopes like most lofts do being at the top of the house

Well I applied to be a crew member in vermont there's no laws forbiding it and most 15 year olds pick up crew jobs with not so much as an interview. I am beginng Highschool this year and kinda wanted some extra cash like everyone my age to save for a car. I've done many "jobs" babysitting mowing lawns and what not and after seeing a Mcdonalds crew spot open for 4 months in the local paper I decided to give it a try. The manager gave me an application despite me saying I was 14 quite clearly. My crudentials are as follows...All A's....98 average in Middleschool....2 Years of French (important near the Quebec border)....Previous emplyments from private parties as forementioned and references from those parties.... I am a member of the local football team am 6'2" if that helps at all and can lift heavy very heavy things.....120 hours of volunteer work logged last year doing things for the town and a non-profit hostile
