  • My Car is chugging when i change gear?

The car is a Ford KA with about 62k on the clock - recently the exhaust has started to sound a bit blowy which i kept meaning to get it checked but never got round to it - today it started to chug when i changed gears - almost like it was about to run out of petrol - does anyone know what the likely cause might be?

  • How do i know if the previous owner of my house ever complained about the neighbour?

When we moved in they told us the neighbours were nice and friendly, we have been in the house 8 months now and one neighbour is a known drug user, who has people coming to the house throughout the day and night, plays his TV really loud and is a general nuisance.

Who do i go to check to see if any formal complaints have been made? I live in the UK if that helps

  • What to do about a new pit bull terrier?

My fiancee and i replied to an advert for a female staffie - when we went to look at her, she did not look like a typical staffie - there were no papers for her just a vaccination record which stated staffie - anyway we ended up taking her as she got on so well with our other dog and we wanted to get her out of the home she was in!

When we took her to the vets the vet thought she looked like a pit bull type - we have been doing some research since then and we really cant decide what she is - we think she definately has a greyhound/whippet mixed somewhere but we cant decide if it is a staffie or a pit bull.

I have been reading the dangerous dog act and it states that it is illegal to own an unregistered pit bull but that you also cant voluntarily register her and that the police might seize her!!!

What should we do - i want to register her with the police in case she is but i dont want them to seize her!!! Any advice please ( we are in the UK so i know the laws are differnt to USA)

  • Will getting an older dog help my puppy?

I have an 8 mth old staffie and she is very well behaved - however she does not socialise much with other dogs - only when we take her on walks - i have noticed that she can be quite boisterous when playing with other dogs - my partner and i are considering getting an older dog to keep her company and to help teach her acceptable doggie behaviour - what are your thoughts - is this a good idea or has anyone done this before?

  • No longer speaking to my best friend. Have i made a mistake?

We have been best friends for nearly 14 years now and i have been there for her for everything.

She has started to go out with a new man who has a cocaine habit himself which he asks her to pay for and now she has started to use it herself.

She keeps letting me down when we arrange to meet up and she never shows up. I cant seem to be able to talk to her anymore as she is very defensive and all she ever talks about is her life - she never asks me what i am up to.

I am moving to a different area on Friday and we arranged to all go out on Sat as my leaving night out. She didnt turn up and we ended up having a massive arguement.

I have told her i dont want to talk to her anymore and to only contact me once she has sorted her self out. Have i done the right thing or am i just deserting her when she needs me? Im so confused???

  • Anybody else lost weight but still feel fat?

Over the past 3 years i have gone from a size 14 to a size 8. But i still feel fat!!!

I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this? I know i am smaller than i was but in my eyes i still have weight to lose and there are still people skinnier than me!!! People tell me all the time that i am 'tiny' but i thinnk that is because i am only 5ft 2in so i look smaller.

I just wanted to know if anyone else feels like this or have done in the past? Any ideas on how to change my warped body image!!!

  • Mobile phone contract with O2!!! What can i do?

I am 6 months into a contract with O2 and i am moving areas - the area i am moving to has no coverage from O2 and no plans to provide converage for the foreseeable future!!!

I spoke to somebody from O2 today about cancelling the contract and they said the only way to do it was to pay the full line rental until the end of the contract (about £200 in total).

I asked why i couldnt just cancel it or pay a cancellation fee as they do not provide any coverage and they said it cant be done???

Is this right? Has anybody else had this problem before? It seems wrong that they can charge me for a service they are not providing!!!

My boyfriend and i really want to get a dog but we both work full time. We are really active people and we enjoy going for walks when we get back from work and on the weekends and we would love to get a dog but we worry about leaving it all day on its own.

What is the longest amount of time you would leave a dog for. Also we were thinking of getting 2 - to keep each other company - do you think this is a good idea?

  • What is the criteria for fostering?

Im 26 and with a partner - we have been together 2 years. I love children but i really dont want to carry one of my own!! I know that sounds weird to some people. I was thinnking that there are so many children who need foster parents. I was wondering what the criteria is? I know most people who foster have had children of their own and i was wondering if this would go against me because i have never had my own children?
