Im looking at the new phenomenon to me "sim cards" and while I now understand how they work I got a nosebleed looking at their "very reasonable" rates... "as low as .49 per minute", etc. Here in the US you would have to call guam to pay that much.

Here in the US I pay $80 per month for 1800 daytime and 2500 nighttime minutes. That works out to be around .02 cents per minute. Do you really have to pay .49 per minute?? There has to be another way!

Im visiting germany in a couple of weeks. I consider myself an attractive african american man and pretty good with ladies in any country but I hear its a bit like being a kid in a candy store in germany. Is this true? is it that easy? Do the girls approach the guy?

I tried Select Distinct(CityName) but it returns all rows because of the CityID and Zipcode. I need the CityID

I was a 1099 contractor and paid $1500 to the local RMV for licence fees, tickets, etc. Can I deduct any of this as a business expense on my schedule-c?

TAX QUESTIONS! Please

I lent someone $2000 during the tax year and they didnt pay it back until the next year. I dont have thier SSN but I do have the original check that was written to them. I wish to somehow deduct this on my Schedule-C but its over $600 so cant be considered non-employee compensation.. should it be a consulting fee? He was sort of a consultant.

Also alot of payments for services (security, graphic design, street team promoters) were made to companies/regular people with Credit cards and checks.. but some were made in cash.. can I deduct these?

Im trying to trace a transaction from my bank, its a long story but back in the day we could easily find the issuing bank for the first 4 digits of a CC number, its a mastercard with first four digits "5588" I cant seem to find a list like there used to be. anyone?

I was installing wires in a wall for a stereo system and in excitement for my first wire snaking was drilling holes in all kinds of wood in the basement. After I wondered if I drilled one too many holes or drilled into something that could cause the house to collapse?

The house is a two story, about 1000 sq ft per floor. Brick walls in the basement. bottom of the house (roof of the basement) contains several 2x4's (i think) long pieces of wood that span the entire area across the basement. There is no support in the middle and it looks like those beams are nailed to steele joints to another 2x4 going along the brick wall. I drilled a nice 1/2 inch hole through one of the beams closest to the wall in a corner of the house. This is the one im concerned about. The hole is toward the upper part of the beam going at an angle (there is alot of wood displaced by the hole)

I also drilled holes (in another area) in the bottom horizontal stud that supports the vertical studs.

on my last trip to londonI was talking to a guy who said something like "well if you went to _______.. you leave with 3 or 4 girls" its just crazy.. well I have forgot where he was talking about but if there is such a place Id like to add that to my itenerary.

Im trying to capture a click event so I can count the number of downloads. But not all content is hosted on my site because users post their own link. Id have a hard enough time capturing the number of downloads of a file, and especially people are right-clicking save as. Is there any way to capture this event in IIS wor .NET?

I plan to visit major cities in Germany, France, Spain, and maybe Sweden/Finland. Im not soo worried about french and spanish because I can at least try to speak those languages and its a bit easier to see what signs mean even if you dont speak it.. my main fear is Germany due to the harsh and hard to learn language. are my fears well founded? Also I plan on making phone calls to local clubs to try to get work.. this is a problem as they will probably pick up the phone in german

Those are just two small examples.. but the question is serious.. what is wrong with these people that believe this guy? Im almost embarrased to say im american when I travel to other countries. And the only responses people can give are blaming clinton for monica lewinsky?

I hear of billionairs trying to help in 3rd world countries, mainly africa. But their approach seems like only helping a handful of people (like oprah winfreys school).

Why dont they build water-pipeline infastructure, or desalinazation plants to convert saltwater into fresh water? or build some type of infastructure to avoid the common problems of starvation, lack of clean water, etc.

It seems to me that even with the weak american dollar its still worth 1000's of times more than the local currency and that money could be used to build stuff?

I usually use inline coding for my asp.net VB pages. But a specific example gave the codebehind, so I decided to try it.. Well I got stuck, panicked, and put the original file back there (inline).. I assumed the change would be instant, but Its still stuck on a piece of code from the previous version with the codebehind.

I hope im making any sense but basically its weird that I cant seem to change the page.. My gut tells me it has something to do with compiling the page but ive never compiled it before. It may have compiled when I used the code-behind for the first time.

How to make 1 CCD low light Mini-DV nightclub shots look good.?

I shot alot of scenes with a 1 CCD consumer grade Mini-DV camera. The shots basically look like what you would expect from a photo taken with no flash. there is some detail there but generally lights out. Messing with the contrast does produce more detail but makes the picture grainy. There was not much I could do pre-production and am wondering what I can do post production to make it look as good as I can? Desaturation? Black point? any tips tricks would be appreciated. Im using Adobe Premier Pro 2

I would like to start taking multi-vitamins, also grape-seed extract, pycnogenol, coenxyme q10, etc.. Problem is like most people I have a hectic life and hate taking pills.. I want to grab some fresh fruit, apple juice, and put all that stuff in a blender and make cup sized smoothie drinks that I can store in my freezer/fridge and drink every day. Is there any problems with putting that stuff (the pills) in a blender nutritionally? Chemically? or will all be ok?
