  • 1981 Ford F100 front disc brakes not releasing completely.?

The truck has 67,000 miles on it, and has been loosing brake fluid out of the front brake reservoir for some time, and I haven't been able to find a leak. About a year ago I replaced the vacuum brake booster and the master cylinder. Recently the front brakes have been failing to release completely on occasion, the front of the truck undulates, and the rims, etc. get super hot. I'm pretty sure the pressure differential valve is bad. Does anyone think this would cause the problem, or what else might it be? Thanks in advance.

  • Can anyone identify this bird.?

I live in the mid-south (Arkansas), and it showed up in our yard under our bird feeder. It feeds on the ground, and in the mornings I sit on our patio and flip peanut halves to the many birds that come to feed while I have my morning coffee. None of the other birds will challenge it when it goes for a peanut, which it grips in it's beak and bites into small enough pieces to eat. It's about the size of a mocking bird.

  • 2005 Ford Mustang 5R55S automatic Transmission?

A young man down the street was attempting to change his oil, and mistakenly removed the plug on the bottom of the automatic transmission pan. About 1 1/2 quarts of fluid drained out. The question is: short of going to the dealer how do you check the fluid level and add if needed since there is no dip stick in these transmissions. I searched the web and the only site I found that had any information was: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/2005-mustang... It didn't give much information. Appreciate any help you can give me.

  • 1981 Ford F-100. Found unknown part in transmission fluid pan when changing fluid.?

This was a C-6 transmission and I removed the majority of the fluid with a vacuum hose down the filler tube. When I removed the pan there was a part in the pan that "for the life of me" I can't find where it belongs. It is plastic or nylon and is shaped like a kids top without the point. It's 3/4" diameter and 5/8" long on the big end and has a rubber washer in a groove about 1/8" down. The bottom is radiused and has a hole in it 7/16" diameter and about 3/8" deep. It has a stem on top 3/16" dia. and 1" long. Any clue as to what this is would be appreciated..
