  • anti- bullying video to much for grade 4 students? with out parental consent?

First let me say that I am on bord with the anti-bullying program. I think that this is a message that should be out there. It should not be sugar coated and children need to know the effects of bullying. Now that being said I was horrified to find out that yesterday with out my knowledge my my 9 year old sons school showed an animated video where a child was fed up with being bullied and in the end hung himself from the slide in the park at school. My question is this, Am I wrong in feeling that is A a bit too over the top for that age group? And B should we as parents not have been informed the school was going to show this video, so we could make the call on weather or not we felt our child was emotionally and mentally ready for this video?

She gave me a funny look and said what about candle lit rooms and roses. Sure thats nice and all but I still maintain nothings sexier than a my man washing the dishes. how about you ladys, after years of marrige house work or roses?

are answering a question on here. Ok sure people are rude. and some can be quite ignorant. But let's face it. This is the world wide web and you are going to get all kinds. So why not just ignore the ignorant ones report them if they are really that vile. and only pay attention to the ones you think make a valid and interesting point?

I mean honestly If I say black he says white. How did you and your spouse get trough the renos with out killing one another? You would think that something as simple as picking paint colors would not cause this much stress. Is it just me or do other people actually fight about what color to paint the base boards?

  • The good old spanking debate, how different styles of parenting would handle this situation?

My friend and I got into a debate the other day about what should be done if your child hit you. She is a firm anti-spanker and I choose spanking as one of my many methods of disapline. I would like re-open the debate in here to see how others would handle it if thier child hit them. So with out tearing apart the other side can you tell me honestly how you would handle it if your child hit you? would it make a differance if it was a toddler or a teenager who is bigger than you? I can't wait to see your answers please play nice as this is only a debate not all out war.
