Have you ever heard of jumping the fence?
Some of my co-workers were asking me if I would be willing to jump the fence and I had never heard of the term but from context I could figure out what they were talking about. What does jumping the fence mean to you?

I’m having my second interview for a teaching position in my area and I’d really like to actually get the job this time. I’m familiar with the area from being a student and from substituting and I’ve done my research on the demographics and contextual factors. When it comes time for me to ask questions I feel that the interviewer already answered any I would have asked. (I took a list of questions with me last time and they were all answered before I could ask) What are some important questions that I can ask so that my interviewer doesn’t think I don’t care?
5 AnswersTeaching1 decade agoWhat kind of tree would you like to be?
I just saw on the Barbara Walters special part 1 where she regrets asking what kind of tree one of the guests would like to be. Katharine Hepburn was the original guest who said she felt like she was a tree and that made Barbara ask, "What kind of tree would you like to be?" On a separate interview, another guest (I want to say Johnny Carson) brought it up again and said it was a dumb question. It was pretty unanimous that Oaks are nice and Barbara Walters said she wouldn't want to be a weeping willow, so for kicks I thought I'd ask too. What kind of tree would you like to be?
