I am a mom to 5 children, I have studied fertility, infertility, STD's, women's care, first aid, medication questions, and general health issues etc on my own out of interest and really enjoy spending time answering questions and offering advice. I have Asperger's and spend a majority of my time online when not chasing kids or cleaning crayon off of the wall. I also have some knowledge of mental health issues such as Autism disorders, Tourettes, ADHD, Anxiety and depression.

  • why is my puppy digging her halter/collar?

I have a new pug puppy and I'm trying to get her used to her halter so she can go for walks. However she hates the thing and digs at it constantly. I'm worried about her digging it raw. I've bathed her in an oatmeal baby wash and I've been keeping the halter on so she can hopefully get used to it. Is this a normal reaction to a puppy's first collar/halter?

  • Why do my muscles twitch during an MRI?

I have to have an MRI tommorow (brain) and the last time I had one (on spine) I had involuntary muscle twitching the whole time and it freaked me out, I mentioned it to the tech and she acted like I was weird. I mentioned it to the neurologist this time and he told me to take flexeril before the scan tommorow, I'm just curious why my body does that?

  • Idle and stalling problem on 94 Ford Taurus station wagon?

My taurus is idling funny, it seems like it cycles up and down, even the lights dim and brighten, sometimes it stalls. I live in a cold climate. When I get stuck a bit in the snow and try to get out it stalls, however it doesn't stall until I take my foot off the gas, and it never stalls during driving. so I'm wondering if anyone has any idea why it's doing this and what I can do to fix it. I put in some fuel injector/carberater cleaner yesterday but it was cheap stuff and didn't seem to make a difference. thanks

Hi, I recently during moving fell down a flight of about 10 stairs on my back and have been in alot of pain since, this was about a month ago now. I had an xray this week and it showed no acute findings, but says that there is a hypertrophic ostephyte emanating from the superior end plate of T12.. I was wondering if anyone could explain to me exactly what this is, I am an EMT and I understand medical terms, but am not sure on this one.. could this be causing the pain I am having?

  • What If A Genie?

A Genie magically appears to you and tells you that he will grant you one wish that will come true the next morning when you wake up and open your eyes. The only rules are that you can't wish for more or unlimited wishes and you can't ask for eternal life. What would YOU ask for and why. I'm looking for real honest answers. this is a human nature question. Please also state where you are from.

  • other peoples stuff on my credit report?

I 've never noticed this before, but when I checked my credit report recently there are many things on there that are not mine. They are all positive transaction, but include a good sized mortgage, store cc, other cc, and one payed off small mortgage, I have a low credit score, I don't think these positive things are lowering mine, but I'm concerned that my negatives may be affecting someone else? I know they live in texas because that address shows up. and is says that my credit was established before I was 18. Where do I start in fixing this? is someone using my ssn?

  • odd symptoms with cycle?

Hi, 10 1/2 months ago I gave birth to twins via c-section. I also had a tubal ligation. I started getting my periods back in September (babies born in May) due to nursing for awhile, since they started back they have been very regular 27-28 days and very heavy and crampy. I can deal with that. starting last cycle I had some left sided pain that was fairly moderate that went away after a couple of days, it occured about 2 days before my period started, I figured it was an ovarian cyst. anyway, I'm on the 15th day of my cycle now, I've had menstral type cramps since my period that haven't ended, I'm tired, I'm very swollen and bloated in my abdominal area, my pants are not fitting right at all even though I've lost 7 lbs in the last 2 weeks. I've tried a dieuretic but still have the bloated issue. Any ideas? anyone had cramps through a whole cycle, or this bloating and found out what it was?

my last period was normal, just a little lighter than the rest.

  • left side abdominal pain?

I am having pain in my lower left side, kind of over my hip area, I had a ruptured cyst about 4 years ago on that side and the pain is in the same area so I'm assuming its got to do with my ovaries, I'm on cycle day 25 of a normal 28 day cycle so it shouldn't really be a cyst because I'm way past ovulation? anyone else had this? it hurts pretty badly and ibuprophen isn't doing much.

  • I have a 3 yr old daughter that is in the process of being screened for problems?

I really believe the final diagnosis will be Aspergers, I was wondering if anyone has experience with this with a preschooler and has any tips on how to handle behavior issues to make things easier on her?

  • Problem or Normal?

    Child Development Assessment?

Hi, my daughter who turned 3 in Dec has been having some communication problems including severe stuttering, sometimes refusing to speak at all, hates to make prolonged eye contact, and almost seems to have OCD (will line up crayons of the same color in perfect row, can't have any break in routine or a big fit ensues, will line up snacks in rows) She is very smart and her language is on par or maybe above for her age. I am wondering if anyone went through similiar issues and if there was any diagnosis involved? or is it something she will just grow out of?
