my family just got some koi awhile ago, and some have been living in my brother's rather small (and now over-crowded) tank* (he has two 4yo goldfish that he's proud to have kept alive for so long, and 2 "baby" koi) for a few days, so i wanted to move his koi in with mine. but apparently, they develop different personalities, which probably stem from their early environment, and negative environment = negative personality, plus there are four total (two in his, two in my larger tank) and since they're in twos i don't know if that will create some kind of barrier that would prevent them from living happily together without some kind of problem. do koi fight each other? how about if the other two are "tough" from living in the harsher environment in my brothers tank and are used to competing with the goldfish for food? do you think they would maintain that mentality even when there is plenty to go around?

yeah, we've had them for about a week, so i don't really no a thing about them other than that they apparently like the light on, like to be within an inch of each other at all times, and don't like the waterfall thing the filter does when it puts the clean water back in.

* my dad told me last night that he actually /wanted/ those ones to die to prove some kind of point to my brother. i told him he was cruel and asked if i could move them into my tank. he said fine, but i can't tell my brother about my dad's nefarious plot, and my brother isn't willing to let them go. i just don't want to see those koi die a horrible death. his tank is getting foggier by the day and it might kill both the koi /and/ the goldfish if something isn't done. anyway, that's all beside the point

so, am i going crazy and imagining the worst-case scenario, or might it actually be something to be worried about?

i need to memorize a 4pg speech by Monday so if anyone has any tips id appreciate it

i have already typed it out like 10 times and written it out like 4 but i dont seem to be retaining it that way

right now im trying to make a subliminal message out of a sound clip of it to listen to in my sleep

does anyone know if i need to speed it up to make it work? if so, how much?

the only noise it makes is the hard drive + proccessor and all that good stuff.... the problem is that if i open windows media and play a song all i get is silence... same goes for the internet...

ive tried the volume twisty...thinggy but that only works w/ shift... and i also tried going to the master volume control and it says everything is set for max volume

also if it helps the only thing that i can purposly make noise with is the caps lock.... (it came w/ that) and i can control the volume of that.

please ANY advice is good advice
