my garden produced very few, very small vegetables, what happened?
i started a vegetable garden this summer, its my second garden attemped, i expanded larger from last year. I tried to grow as organic as possible. I live in north texas, and two summers in a row my gardens produced next to nothing or very small produce. i get two peppers at a time and they are the size of my little finger, bell peppers are half the size of my hand, tomatoes the size of bouncy balls (with cuts on them) and tons and tons of eggplants that are smaller than a base ball. what happened? the only thing i can think of is grubs! i found i was invaded by grubs when i went to pull my carrots and they were chewed to the top of the soil. any advice? i want to be as organic as possible, i use compost, have use organic fertilisers, and i do not want anything to kill my earthworms. I have tons of healthy fat earthworms and i dont wnat to kill them by accident trying to get rid of the grubs. I want to get a boost and be ready for the next spring growing season. my garden is located on the south side of my house and gets full sun until about two int he afternoon when it begins to get shade from a wood fence. it has good drainage, except the spot where my carrots were chewed up. im working on that now by adding more soil and composting during the winter for more fertile soil. it compost fast with all the earthworms. let me know if you need any more information to help me.

I'm looking for a tip on how to unlock the second blue box with the jump thing. It's on the first stage of the multiplay mode level one. I figured out that the first blue jump box can be opened by killing the first set of robots. It opens and you skate along the rail to the other side of the island. there are two flying robots, i kill them, but they keep comming back when you turn around. How do you get the other jumpbox opened, I'm just stuck on that?

25 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoNew garden plant sunburn?
I just planted a new garden with vegetable plants like tomatoes, peppers, and squash. They were housed outside when i bought them and they were healthy. I had them in my garage for a few days while i got the garden ready. I live in north texas and they are planted on the south side of my house as suggested by many experts. I have noticed that some of them have gotten sun burn. Will they adapt and bounce back? I know tomatoes and peppers need intense heat as described by experts, just wondering if anyone had any suggestions or advise or knowledge on the issue. Is this a bit normal? I have looked and the new leaves growing up seem strong and healthy.

5 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoBest shade tree for texan's back yard?
Hi, I'm trying to get some idea of a good, moderately fast growing tree to plant in my back yard. I have very clay sticky soil with nice plush grass on top. My back yard slightly slopes down to the east and is moderatly large size yard. I would like a tree that gives shade, will tolerate drought conditions and does not have those pesky flowers that bloom and spred pollin. I'd like to purchase it kinda small and let it grow over time, I'm not looking to plant a $500 fully grown oak tree.
I'd just like to hear any suggestions on trees I can research for my area. I was concidering a cotton wood, but my neighbor is allergic and I'd hate for my pretty tree to cause her any discomfort. No, I don't like pine trees, or scrub brush. I don't mind raking leaves. I am interested in the (hope this is right) buford pear tree (not a fruiting tree). I love those trees, but they seem to grow slow. Any advise, tree names or anything helpful is appriciated.
7 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoHow can you protect yourself and your home from Home Owners Association?
we keep getting bills in the mail for HOA, which has been paid for what they are asking for, also comming in the previous owners name. My husband calls and calls them, no answer, leaves voice mails. He got a letter stating what the dues are going to pay for each year. Out of the $105,000 dollars they recieved last year, they paid $78,000 to cerical. This cannot be good. It's rediculous. We pay not for our community, but to pay someone who does the clerical crap for our HOA. only $35K goes towards our community and nothing gets done! I don't understand this, we and all of our neighbors feel ripped off, violated financially and powerless to stop them. got any ideas? And if we don't pay every cent them we get a lien put on our property. I just don't see how any of this is right!

How much do you think i could sell my car for ...
2001 Toyota Corrolla Sport w/ auto windows, spoiler, marron-Red color, 52,000 miles, some replaceable damage in the interior and a few dings on the exterior. Over all in great shape. Runs like the first day. Gets about 300 miles to the tank. Clear title. Do you think $6K is to high or to low? I found carmax is selling them with more miles than mine for almost $10K. I should not have a problem getting $6-7 for it, ya think? Open to any opinions or any other questions to help me get an answer. Pretty much I want to put a sing in it and I don't knwo how much I should set a price for to negociate.

I'm going on a long hiking trip this weekend, with a full pack (all my gear). Does anyone have any good warm ups or stretches I can do to get loose before I head out on the trail. It's fairly ruff terrain so I've heard. Rocky, small streams to cross, up rocky hills and down. We are going to Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose, TX.
