Group member can't post messages.?
They don't get any bounce message when using e-mail, but their posts never appear.
They don't appear in the group member list under either their Yahoo user name or e-mail address, but if I try to send them an invitation it says they're already a member.
There has been no e-mail saying they have left the group and nothing in the activity log about them.
How can I sort this out for them?
Cheers,
Martin.
2 AnswersYahoo Groups7 years agoWhy do all group e-mails now come from sender groupname@yahoogroups.com?
The From: field was previously populated with the sender's Yahoo! ID or display name, but now most just come from the name of the group @yahoogroups.com.
The actual format is:
From: "<YahooID> <real e-mail address> [groupname]" <groupname@yahoogroups.com>
It used to be:
From: <display name> <real e-mail address>
I use Thunderbird to read Group e-mails and unless the author signs their message, I've no idea who has written them as they all show groupname@yahoogroups.com as the sender.
Please change this back.
Regards,
Martin.
