Can you help with suggestions for "B" names?
We're having a baby in May, and our first son's name is Benjamin, and we are wanting to continue with "B" names.
For a boy we are considering : Brandon, Bryce, and I like Boston but hubby doesn't. WDYT of Boston?
For a girl: Brynna or Brinley (very similar I know, and I'm debating on whether they are too similar to "Ben", my son.. Bryn & Ben?? ehh..) **Girl middle name will either be Claire or Hope
So I'm looking for some more suggestions based on what I listed..because I'm not totally IN LOVE with any name yet. Nothing outlandish & no ridiculous spellings, please. TIA!

6 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoWhat DPO (day past ovulation) did you get a positive pregnancy test?
I took a test first thing this morning and got a negative. I'm only 11 DPO so I know it could be way to early. I got a dark + with my first child at 12 DPO, however I'm using some internet tests so I don't know the sensitivity of the tests I'm using...
Just curious, when did you get your POSITIVE?? I won't test again until 15DPO now!
3 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoWhat age spacing worked for you and your children?
I've been wanting another baby since mine was 6 months old, but now that he's 19 months, we've "officially" started TTC.. I am super excited, but I'm also nervous. I'm looking at about 2 1/2 year age gap between kids. What will it be like with a newborn and a toddler? Will there be jealousy? Will I want to rip my hair out or will I love it? I know you can't answer those questions for me but I'm looking for moms/parents with this gap or similar between their children and wondering how it worked for them and what the pros/cons are!
Thanks!
7 AnswersParenting1 decade agoAnyone have experience with a 27 month age gap or similar?
Hello!
My husband and I are thinking about TTC our 2nd child next month. If we happen to conceive, we're looking at a 27 month age gap.. does anybody have children with a similar age gap? How is it..easy or challenging? Do you like it or do you wish you would've waited longer? My 18 month old is well behaved, but very busy.. it may be challenging being pregnant with him, but we want our kids close in age.. I'm aware it depends partially on the personalities of the children, but I think age has something to do with it too.
Just curious!! Thanks so much in advance!!
2 AnswersParenting1 decade agoIf your child took swimming lessons, what age did they start?
My son will be 2 in August (17 months now) and I was thinking of enrolling him in swimming lessons this summer..
I know its early to be thinking of this, but I'm just curious. **I'm home with the flu and don't get on YA a whole lot**
18 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWhat are some fun, but cheap DIY home decor projects?
Hi! I'm looking for some fun, cheap, creative do-it-yourself projects.
I love doing fun stuff like that, but am just getting into it. It can't be too expensive, or elaborate...
I'd preferably like some fun stuff relating to fall or winter.
I'm making my own fall wreath, I've decoupaged some frames, and in the near future I will be upholstering my kitchen chairs myself.
Any ideas appreciated!!
TIA
5 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoQuestion about 14 month old?
I'm just curious, what words did/is your 14 month old say?
My 14 month old doesn't really talk, he just babbles to himself a lot, but doesn't really say a whole lot of words.
I hate to compare children, because each is different, but my friends 14 month old is putting 2 words together already! (nite nite ma ma) Mine doesn't even say mama all the time, only when he wants me. And then he'll say pees (please) once in a while, dada once in a while, bye bye once in a while, and kitty sometimes. That's it though. He doesn't say words a lot, just babbles to himself all the time. lol... So I'm just curious what your child was doing in the area of talking at that age.
What can I do to encourage him to talk? I read to him, but that's it!
8 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhat is a good age for siblings? Opinions on child spacing please!?
Hello!
I have a 14 month old boy, and husband and I were talking last night about when we should have another. I'm not really in a rush, but he was talking about trying for another. If we got pregnant soon, our children would be about 2 years apart. I'm wanting to wait another year to put them closer to 3 years apart. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer, because it's different for each family. But what is your experience on the subject?
What worked for your children? Closer together or farther apart?
Physically I'm ready for another now, but emotionally I'm not sure about having 2 so young, even though I'm sure they'd be plamates..
TIA
7 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoFOR FUN: What's your 1 year old doing?
I'm not worried about milestones or anything like that.. I'm just curious.. What is your 1 year old (or similar age) doing right now? My son will be 1 a week from today! It's so bittersweet.
What is your son/daughter doing? Eating? Walking? Saying words? Gestures? Favorite food? Favorite toy? Etc....?
My son is...
almost walking (stands by himself for about 30 seconds)
says mama, dada, bye bye, and grunts and points when he wants something
he has an attitude and HATES to be told no. :)
he LOVES animals of any kind
waves bye bye (when he wants, not all the time)
starting to drink from a sippy cup
will play patty cake, and copy you when you nod or shake your head
His favorite 'toy' is his stuffed animal puppy, and he loves to be outside.
He is eating almost everything. He LOVES grilled cheese, mac & cheese, tomatoes, carrots, grean beans, peas, toast, bananas, peaches, avocado and cheese. I have him some chicken nuggets the other day and he liked those too. About a week ago, I stopped giving him baby food, so now he's on only table foods.
TIA!!!!
4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoBaby fever!!! I want another child... badly.?
Hello!!
So I've had the baby fever since my son has been like 2 months old. I told myself.. it will go away when he's crawling. NOPE! then, it'll go away when he's walking, talking, throwing food, and into EVERYTHING.. nope. lol. He's now almost 10 months old, and I still really want another child. I have a very supportive husband, and finances are there, I'm just scared to death of how hard it is to have 2 under two?
Any mommy's with 2 under 2? Is it really THAT hard? My plan was to try next summer (starting april) so it'd put them about 2 1/2-3 yrs apart which is ideal in my head. But, something in me wants to try when he turns 1? (in about 2 months) or NOW?!
Help!! I dunno what to do... lol. I need some wisdom from some mother's with experience in this area???

5 AnswersParenting1 decade agoThe infamous child spacing question!?
How far apart are your children? Do you like that spacing? Would you do it differently?
My son is 8 months old and hubby and I want to start trying for #2 this fall. If I were to conceive that would put them in the 2 years apart margin. I'm just looking for mommies and their experiences. I may wait one more year to make them closer to 3 years apart, but I don't know. I'm really excited to have another child, but I want to be rational at the same time.
THANKS!!!

4 AnswersParenting1 decade agoWhen did you start trying for #2 and how long did it take?
Hi! I have a son who is about 8 months, and my hubby and I were talking about when a good time would be to start TTC #2. I want to start TTC #2 a year from now, but hubby wants to this summer. I'm just wondering when did YOU start ttc #2, and how long did it take you to fall pregnant?
It took me 4 months to fall preggo w/ #1. This is just for fun! Thanks!
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago7 or 8 Month Old Question - Do you feed him solids every day?
I have a 7 month old (will be 8 months in a week) and he's been eating fruits n veggies since about 6 months. I don't feed him food every day, but yesterday my grandma was appalled that he doesn't get solids every day. She wasn't mad or anything, but it made me think... should I be feeding him every day?
He seems to get enough food from formula. He takes about 5-6 8oz bottles per day, so about 40 oz of formula.
Should I be more routine with giving him solids? How often was your LO eating at that day and did they eat solids every day?
Not to worried, just very curious! Thanks!!!
12 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoDid your baby sleep a lot when he/she was teething?
My baby is napping as I type this, and for the past few days it seems like my baby is sleeping a lot more than usual. He will sleep all night and then take about 3 naps a day. He's not sick, and his 2 bottom teeth are starting to poke through. He's been fussier than normal too, and I'm sure that's from the teething, but I'm just wondering if it is normal for him to be napping so much!
7 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoHONESTLY: how long did it take you to lose your pregnancy weight?
My son will be 7 months next week, and I'm still about 10 lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight, even though I'm the same size I was before pregnancy. I've been working really hard for the last month to try to lose this weight, but I can't seem to do it. I'm going to have to do a hardcore diet & workout regimine, because "smaller portions" and "daily walks" aren't doing it. LOL. I gained 50 lbs in pregnancy. I'm 5'7'' and prepreg I was 135, right now I'm about 145.
My questions are:
What was your prepreg weight/height?
How much did you gain?
How long did it take you to lose?
What did you do to lose it (nothing, didn't work very hard, worked hard, or worked my flippin *** off)
44 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoFOR FUN: How many children do you have and/or want?

How many children do you have & how old are they?
My baby is 6 month old and we're think about TTC at the end of this year when he's about 14 months. So I'm curious to see how far apart your children are and if you want more, etc...
14 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting1 decade agoA bluish black mark on my baby's lower lip? What could it be?
I have a 6 month old son, and just this afternoon I noticed he had a bluish black mark on his lower lip. At first I thought his whole lower lip was blue and was freaked out ready to take him to the ER. But I've been monitoring him all afternoon. His circulation and oxygen is fine I believe. Hands, feet, tongue and even upper lip are pink. But this blue mark has me curious. Do you think it could be a bruise from sucking on toys & pacifier? He could've hit himself with a toy and gotten a bruise from that... has that happened to any of your little ones? My husband didn't really notice and thinks he's perfectly fine. His temperament hasn't changed and he's breathing normally, so I guess i'm asking what your opinions are and if this has happened to any of your babies or children you know?
