  • Why didn't God reveal himself to more people?

The Jews believe that over 600,000 people were present when God gave the Jews the Torah at Mount Sinai. Meaning, that there were over 600,000 witnesses that this event transpired. These witnesses were then able to go on and tell their children who then told their children, so on and so forth, that they themselves witnessed this event. Witnesses are obviously one of the greatest forms of validity that can be given to prove something, and the Jews claim to have had over 600,000 thousand of them.

If God wanted to then go ahead and give the New Covenant to Jesus, and make the Mosaic Law obsolete, then wouldn't God have done so in front of multitudes of people?

The logic I am trying to use here is that if something was given in front of multitudes of people, then shouldn't it have to be "taken away" in front of multitudes of people in order for there to be any sort of validity to the act of "taking away".

  • Christians, how do you respond to the following argument?

In the Old Testament, in Deuteronomy chapter 13, verse 1- scripture says: "Everything that I am commanding you- be careful to fulfill it; do not add to it and do not subtract from it"...

That being said, how could Jesus, or anybody for that matter, come along and do away with that which is said in the old testament? It clearly states that nothing can be added or taken away. Meaning- that NOTHING can supercede it.

  • Is the truth always the best policy?

I have to write an SAT essay for school. I need to decide whether truth is always the best option, or whether it's best to sometimes lie. What I need though, is two examples that show one side. The examples can be from Current Events, History, or Literature. I need this by tomorrow... First answer to come up with one or two GOOD examples wins the best answer...
