He's kind of hard to describe. I'm not sure if his spots and bars are black or lavender. He has bright yellow around his mouth and orange stripes on his back. He also has a brownish base color. He comes from a Normal/Hypo Orange x Chris Allen Red and a Normal x Yellow pairing if that helps.

I want to put live plants in my guppy tank. I also have an algae eater in the tank. What plants can I put in there?

I was considering guppies or something similar but am open to any suggestions for a freshwater tank. I previously had convicts but am looking for a change.

What colour is he?

Does anyone have a list of things that you can take that are natural that can increase your fertility? I have fertility issues and wanted to try the natural things before we go the prescription route.

I want to set up a tank for my pair that will encourage breeding. What do I need for that? They are currently in separate tanks and I want to move them in together.

I'm 23 and have a 4 year old son. I started missing my period out of the blue when he was two and at that time I missed it for 12 months and when all the testing was finally done and they sent me to a specialist all they found was that my estrogen was lower than it should have been. I was put on birth control but I have issues with so many methods that we had to switch to Metformin to try to resolve the low estrogen hopefully. Well I was well for 3 months and then I started missing again. Now I'm back on the pill and we're trying to find one that is going to work for me. I had my period for four days as normal and then nothing for two days. No I'm having another period it seems and it's all a dark brown fluid. I'm waiting for my gynecologist to call me back but I was wondering if anyone else had been through something like this and if this was normal?

I'm looking for an algae eating tank mate for my oscars. I tried snails and they just ate them although the snails were bigger than they were at the time. I've heard that plecos can be dangerous if they try to eat them. Could someone recommend a good tank mate for them please?

My hen bozo talks in her sleep. It's not a once in a while thing she does it all the time. Is it normal? None of my other birds have ever done it. Here's a video to show you what I mean:

I have a male lovebird who originally lived with his finch cage mate and she passed on about a month ago. The male lovebird and the finch were hand raised together and already living happily together when I got them. We have a female lovebird that we got a while ago and I would like to introduce them so that they can live together. Both were hand raised and love to be with their humans and interact well when outside of the cage, he'll accept her into his cage but when he goes to visit her in her cage she chases him, pulls his tail feathers and makes him run away out the door of the cage.

Is there anything that I can do to make them get along better?

Is it going to be possible for them to live together?

How should I go about it?

his companion of 3 years a finch passed away tonight. i didn't put them together they had always been that way when i got them last year. how do i introduce another bird to him?

i need some ideas on how to keep my hairless rat warm this winter. he has a pair of furry cage mates and a fleece hammock as well as the room is kept warm all the time but he was still chilly when i brought him out to play this morning.

My cockatiel was at the vet two weeks ago and was put on erythromycin for a large amount of nasal discharge. The vet gave him a weeks worth of antibiotics and said it should clear him up since he believed it was an infection. He's now got the nasal discharge again and it's a week after he's stopped the antibiotics. He's in a cage which is cleaned daily and disinfected with bleach twice a week. New food and water twice a day and the dishes are washed out daily.

What could it be and what should I do for him until monday when i can get hi into an avian vet? Should i give him the same antibiotic since i still have some from the last time that i was prescribed it and it hasn't expired?

I don't want to run my own but I want to know what it takes. I would like to better understand what breeders that have their own rattery have to do to start them up and maintain them.

My male cockatiel has a cold and the vet recommended Erythromycin (sp?) for him. Is that safe? I can't find anything online so far about whether or not it is.
