During a 1 week visit what are some typical and unique things to do for people who have never visited?

my niece and nephew are staying with me for the week. the other day before we left the house, i ran to get some kleenex from the bathroom. i then realized that my seventeen year old niece must have forgotten to flush since we were in a hurry. however, her poop seemed to have a fuzz like substance on it. i never confronted her about it, should i be worried?

i just got a 4g ipod nano but can't figure out how to put videos on it. and not dvds but videos from the itunes store. i tried downloading the free alvin and the chipmunks video but it won't sync into my ipod. however, two music videos i already had work just fine. whats the problem??

so this summer i plan on riding my bike (not on the street but along the path) along the beach starting at the santa monica pier. i want to do it in the early morning (like sunrise) before too many people get there. is there anything i should know about this in general (like safety, weather, people)?

yesterday i was at my friends house in their backyard. and we saw this thing...but we couldn't figure out what it was. (they live on a hill so there lots of lizards) it looked like a lizard but it was wayy bigger than the rest of them. it was kinda brownish but it had like gold going on it mostly by its tail. and it walked like an alligator. and it seemed like the mouth was bigger than a normal lizard too. so we thought it was an aligator lizard but we weren't sure....it was kind of creepy looking...any ideas?

it was at the end of epsiode number 8 (Save Me) from season 1. i already went through the credits but it wasn't there.

i'm flying internationally on british airways...am i aloud to bring reg food. i know i can't bring liquids...and i skimmed over their website and couldn't find anything.
