  • Has anyone had acupuncture for osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia see details.?

    Hi

I was diagnossed with fibromyalgia and osteoarthriths 9 yrs ago. The past 3 yrs have been horrible. I can no longer work and am on disability. I take oxycodone extended release 40 mg twice a day and oxycodone 5 mg as needed up to 4 times a day and zanaflex 6 mg 3 times a day and go in for trigger point injections. Now that the cold weather has hit I live in Maine. I am in constant pain, I am having trouble walking my hips, knees and muscles in my legs hurt so much. I'm 46 not over weight and exercise daily when I am able. I went through the same thing last winter and had to keep increasing the amount or pain meds I take just to function. I don't want the doctor to increase them anymore. Has anyone tried actupuncture or any other alturnative to pain medication and has it worked for you. I am really getting desperate for the last 3 days I have had to stay in bed with 5 blankets and a heating pad to help control the pain .. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi for all of you who answered. A long story.?

Thank you very much for your kindness and help. My stepdaughter has 2 therapist and sees a doctor. Nothing seems to help. I have tried so hard to make us all a family. I try to be positive when dealing with my stepdaughter. I do beleive that my husband is jelous of my relationship with my kids and granddaughther. I try so hard to be fair. I never buy my granddaughter a toy without getting something for my stepdaughter. I try to talk to him about how it makes me feel not seeing my kids, but nothing seems to faze him. I have left him 2 times, he promises me he will change and will for about a month or so then reverts back to his old self. I am scared, I had a good job and have always been self sufficient but now I am disabled. He puts me under so much stress and anxiety that I have had to go to psychiatric ward 3 times. I know I should leave him, the house is mine, in the past when we've seperated he causes me even more anxiety. Anyway thank you for your help. i'm greatful.

  • A long story, If you have time I would appreciate your imput. Please this is very serious.?

Seven years ago I met a man who protrayed himself as being very passive and easy going. We had both been married before, I have 2 kids ages 28 and 24. He has one age 12. We have had constant difficulties with the 12 year old she reciently had to go live with her mother because she was expelled from the school system where we live. She constantly lies, steals, refuses to help with chores, breaks curfew, mouths off to everyone, the list goes on and on....My husband refuses to dicipline her or allow me too and if he does as soon as I leave the house he lets her do what ever she wants. He now refuses to let my kids visit and if I let them come he doesn't talk to me for weeks. The hardest part is my granddaughter she's 4, when she's here she can't do anything he constantly diciplines her. He says someone has to do it I spoil her and he say's my daughter is lazy and doesn't bother. Granted my kids aren't perfect but they don't deserve this kind of treatment. Any suggestions? I'm lost

  • Help! very serious problem with stepdaughter...More?

Thank you very much for all of your answers. She has 2 counilors one she sees by herself and one well all see together. My husband will tell the councilor that he will so what she thinks is necessary but never follows through, and in the mean time things are getting horrible. She is so disruptive when she's here I either have to leave, go to my room (doesn't sound quite right does it). Otherwise my husband and I fight. She is now trying to do the same thing to her mother and stepfather. However their sticking together so its not working and she gets mad and calls my husband and gets him fighting with her mother and stepfather. I am baffled, have never seen anything like it. She has been given mental exams and we were told it is all behavioral, there is nothing medically wrong. It was recommended that she be put in a special school for children with behavior problems. My husband won't hear of it. He sent her to her moms so she can go to school in another town.

  • I really need help with stepdaughter(very serious problem).?

I have been with my step daughter since she was 5 she is now 13. I have 2 children of my own both are grown and on their own. My stepdaughter is very decitful and manipultive. She lies to her father all the time to get what she wants. He takes her side no matter what anyone says including her teachers, myself, her mother, and her counsilors. She is becoming more agressive the friends she had will no longer hang out with her. She was expelled from school for good at the end of last yr. She is now living with her mother, she is mouthy, won't do anything you ask her to, refuses to do chores but expects money when ever she asks for it and all hell breaks loose if she's told no and her father continually lets her get away with it. Last week I told him I had had enough and I she can't come here anymore. I told him I also understood if he felt he had to leave. He sayed but now is saying that my kids arn't allowed here either. Do you think this is fair. They haven't caused problems.
