  • What are my career options?

My partner has worked in the automotive trade as a technician for about 6years, where he originally did his apprenticeship. He would now like to get out of the workshop and do something a bit different although obviously still in the motor trade. We looked at maybe an NVQ assessor. Any info/ ideas would be great.

  • How much milk do you give your 1 year old?

I have pretty much moved my baby on to cows milk now as he is nearly one, but how much should i be giving him in the day?

He was having 8oz in morning, 8oz (or how ever much he wanted) early afternoon and 8oz at bedtime, is this too much?

    What have others done?

Also is it from 1 year old that i no longer need to boil waters before i give it to him?

  • How much food to give my 7 and half month old?

I don't use baby jars or measure OZ of food so i want an idea of like i don't know tablespoon fulls, or like half a mug full, etc. I know the argument that baby will tell you when full but iwould like to know about how much food at one meal you give your 7 and a half month old, he still has 4 good size bottles of milk a day but i wonder if lack of food is the reason he doesn't sleep well.

  • What foods have you given to your 6 month old baby?

i am looking for some more meals to give my 6 months old, he is on little lumps now. I do ice cubes of lots of different veg, started doing chicken, yogurts, bread, cheese finger food, egg, but want to know do you mix like chick, potato and veg in one bigger pot to equal a portion and freeze it. I am tending to just get a couple of diff veg ice cubes out and give him those but am worried it is going to start getting boring. If you can just tell me how much and what you give/gave you 6 and a bit month old.

And maybe some recipes you used.

my son is coming up to 6months old, he is having the odd bit of solid food now, he doesn't drink huge amounts of milk and is very unsettled at night, if i am lucky i will get a block of two hours sleep at a time. • How much money do you get for childcare when work 16 hours or more?

i am due to return to work in a few months after maternity leave. i seem to remember reading somewhere if you work at least 16hours you can get some help towards childcare. if this is right how do they work out how much money? i need to decide if it is worth my part time working, as we all know child care is a fortune, but for me to find out how much i would get, i would need to apply which i would need to have signed up with some day care and got my exact hours at work, all of which can't happen at once, and not going to sign up to day care until i know i can cover the cost. any help or info would be great.
