I have seen different questions and statements on here pertaining to a troll - what is a troll and what do they do?

I need help, I have a gambling addiction, does anyone know of any on-line sites that would be helpful. I have been to gamblers anonymous sites, and basically, they confirm that I have an addiction. There are no gamblersanonymous meetings with-in a 2 to 3 hour ride from my home, so I was looking for some kind of on-line support. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Yesterday was Mothers Day, I feel disappointed. I have 4 children, 2 away at school, a daughter 20 mins from Me, and a 17 yr old. My 3 boys all contacted Me or sent cards. My daughter, who is a Mom her self, she is 28 yrs old with 2 kids, seems to think that now that she is a Mom, its her day. I understand her need to feel special on that day. I am not asking for gifts, but a visit would have been nice. I babysit her 2 kids while she is going back to college, I have her and her family here to dinner at least 1 time a week, sometimes twice, I take my grandkids (ages 1 & 3) at least 1 time every 6 wks to give her a night out. We are both married. My husband wrks in the restaurant bus., the busiest day of the yr. I just thought it would have been nice for her to come and see Me or invite Me to her home knowing I am alone on that day. This is the 3rd consecutive yr. like this. It hurts, and now I feel selfish for feeling hurt. What do you think?

Does anyone have any tips on how to keep a woodpecker from pecking on a log home? Friends having a terrible time with this, and he has bore holes all over her beautiful home. Is there a certain scent that they don't like, a noise??? Any suggestion would be helpful, thank you

We have a 5 month old pup, and the spot he chose to potty in, is under my dining room window. Silly Me, didn't give any thought to that until I wanted my window open, and now its really nasty smelling even though we scoop frequently. Is there a way to retrain his potty habits, or am I out of luck?

The owner himself asked OJ to leave, he has a problem with OJ not paying the debt he owes to the Browns and the Goldmans. OJ did leave, called his lawyers, and they are now going to sue for racism and the mans liquor license. The next person to sit at the table that OJ was asked to leave, Michael Jordan. So was it a racist move on the owners part? Or was the owner honetly taking a stand against OJ's arrogance?

Last fall, my Husband and I bought our first home. In the past, every spring I plant flowers all over, hang baskets of flowers, the more the better. I have held off this year, because this home, the previous owner obviously loved flowers as well. There are all kinds of flowers coming up, and I don't know how to take care of plants from bulbs. I have Lillies and tulips up, what do I do when they die off? Do I clip them? How often do you pull the bulbs out of the ground to thin them? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have never had flowers that come up on their own!!

I don't know whats going on today - but the thumbs down trolls are on the loose!! What is the purpose of giving thumbs down to everyone, who gives a correct answer? Why would you waste your time going thru question after question just to give a thumbs down? Is the life of these trolls (notice the plural) so mundane and hateful that they get off giving a thumbs down? I just don't understand the point. Do you think he should lose his visitation rights that he is fighting so hard for in court?

My Older Sister who is only 50 yrs, has been dying of cancer for the last 3 years. She has surpassed all of the Dr.'s predictions. However, her battle is coming to an end. Hospice is now in her home helping her. She has two children, 17 & 19 yrs old. My question, we all know the end is near, and none of us talk about it. She is prepared, she has made things for her kids for the days they get married, for her future grandchildren, but the rest of us, we havn't talked about the end coming. Is it appropriate, to write a letter since we live a distance apart, and tell her what she has meant to me in my life, and how she was such a positive role model? I am I crossing the line by acknowledging that the end is very very near?

After watching all of the BS about Imus, Sharpton and Jackson, thats all that is on the news right now. I have heard the above mentioned terms for the last week, can anyone tell Me what is the politically correct term for this day April 13th, 2007? The terminology seems to change with the times.

I definately think Imus screwed up big time - however, I don't think firing him was the answer. I feel that the powers that be at these forementioned stations, could have found a better way to deal with this. Was there a way to make this horrid situation better - for everyone? What about making him take 15 minutes out of every show and dedicate it to some kind of hate crime, racism, political indifferences, something to raise awareness of these situations. What would you have done to Imus if you were his employer?
