  • House guests that don't like animals but come anyway??

I need some input here...Every year my inlaws come to visit with their kids. I have two dogs small and med. My sister in law does not like dogs and has made her childred paranoid of them. My dogs have never bitten any children as I have kids of my own. When they come she expects me to lock my dogs outside because her kids are afraid. This really annoys me since my dogs pretty much are free to go in and out and mostly stay in all day. They have a dog that is locked outside 24/7 and does not get any attention. My dogs are like family to us. Without coming across totally rude how do I handle this situation? I have already told her that the dogs will not hurt her kids. They will be here for a week! Your thoughts and ideas please!!!

  • Your thoughts on children at viewing before funerals...?

My daughters friends mother passed in an accident last week. Some of her friends mothers brought their daughters to the viewing the day before the funeral. I didnt bring my daughter as I thought that this was inappropriate since the girls really didnt even know the mother that well. However, I did attend the acutal funeral with my daughter. What are your thoughts on this? The girls are 10 years old and didnt really know the mother, do you think that this was appropriate? I was always under the impression the viewing was for close family and friends???

  • Copycats who give the same answer as you did. Your thoughts..?

Don't you just hate it when you answer a question and someone else turns around and gives the same exact answer as you did like they thought of it first? And..I'm not talking about the people that did it right after who may have not been able to see your answer yet. What are your thoughts on this?

  • Help Me Out...How to handle unfair coaches with young children??

My son is in baseball 10 year old division. He is a pretty good player and was pretty much recruited by this team however now he is being played mostly in the outfield while the 3 coaches kids are always in the key postions. I would like to know how to deal with coaches that are all out for their own kids and who give other kids very little playing time in key positions. We have also experienced this situation with football. My son was in tears today because he played the whole game in the outfield and never gets to pitch and this is why they asked him to play on this team based on his pitching skills. We have tried making comments and subtle hints but it all goes ignored. Also, one of the coaches is VP of the league. I would love to hear from other parents who have experienced this and how they have handled the situation. Thanks!

  • Should parents be able to review teachers at the end of the school year?

I am frustrated with dead beat teachers that you hear about year after year from other parents but the principal does nothing about. I think that at the end of the year parents should be able to give our childrens teachers performance reviews. Do you think that this would be a good idea and helpful to the principal to see what kind of job the teacher is really doing?

  • 10 Year old daughter Problems with girlfriends......???

My 10 year old daughter has two very close friends. Lately there has been so much drama between them it is driving me crazy! She always seems to be caught in the middle of freuds between the other two girls. Yesterday she was at one of the girls house and the mother totally went off yelling at my daughter and the other girl because this womans daughter got her feelings hurt about something. My daughter came home in tears. Needless to say I was livid that this mom yelled at my child and didnt include her own daughter in the tirade. Later the mom called me to try and smoothe things over but I told her that my daughter wont be coming over there for awhile and her daughter wont be coming to my house that I feel that the girls need a break for now. I dont have a problem with the other girl and I intend to let my daughter still play with her. Now my daughter feels uncomfortable and is very upset about the situation has this happened to anyone else ?

  • Desperate Housewife has affair........Your thoughts?

A good friend of mine who is a stay at home mom recently went on a trip with some other friends and met a older man on a plane. They had a breif affair and she says that it was wrong but it has giving her a whole new prespective on how much she loves her husband and how much her family means to her. My question is..Has anyone else ever had an affair one time thing and didnt get caught or tell husband or wife and has it jump started your sex life and make you appreciate your spouse more? Please don't write and tell me how wrong affairs are and immoral and blah blah blah because I agreee with you, I just want to know real stories of this happening to people and if anyone else feels the same way as my friend does.

Has anyone else had this problem of a burning pain in your head that you go to bed with and wake up with? I take excederin the only thing that helps a little. • 10 year old son has lump on breast....?

My 10 year old son just showed me a lump underneath one of his breasts. I acted calm but was totally freaked out by it. I am going to check with the doctor next week but until them I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their son. Also, how long did it last? I looked on the internet and young boys almost never get breast cancer and it could be a sign of puberty which is hard to believe because he is only 10. Please let me know if anyone else has had this with their son.
