I have a large unit which has 2 speakers plugged in to it.

To control the volume there is a little control which is connected between the speaker unit and the PC.

Up until last week turning this control to the left/right changed the volume but now it does not.

From my PC I have a green connector in the microphone port and a black connector going in the headphone port. Then on the other side of the device I have a green connector going into the microphone port, this then goes to the speaker unit and there are a white and red connector going in, and then the 2 portable speakers are in another white and red port.

I still can hear sound the only issue is the external control does not change the volume, any ideas?

I booked a flight through Expedia, the airline is AerLingus.

I have emails from Expedia saying I should check in, so I follow the link and go to AerLingus' check in pages but I am unable to check in.

Is this because I booked it through a third party? If that is the case can I just check in at the airport? I read that you need the bank/credit card used for the booking but a family member bought it for me and I will not have their card.

Also it is a transatlantic flight although there is a change in Ireland, I still am entitled to a checked bag of 23kg for the whole journey right?

My parents car, a Peugeot 407 started missing a few days ago and today it got really bad to the extent that my mum parked it and took a train to her work.

We got the car to a garage and the mechanic has ran it through a computer and says it could be the fuel pump housing. I have searched and cannot find what this is.

Do you know how what this is/cost? My parents are getting a new car next month so no point in spending a lot on their current car.

I am a UK citizen and on June 1st 2011 I moved abroad. I was employed in the same company/position from March 2008 until May 30th 2011.

At the time I did not think about claiming tax back.

I moved back to the UK in February 2014 and I have the P45 from my last UK based employer (May 2011)

I have read up and know that you can claim only for the previous 6 years so am I right in thinking I can make a claim?

Is the only form I need to fill in the P85 (as well as pages 2,3 from my P45)?

I have a Citroen C2i which is 5 years old. It is in good condition both the body and the engine etc as far as I know.

I lasr drove it on Monday night, so 3 days ago. I got into the car this morning, started the engine and took off, but after a couple of seconds the engine stops. I restart the engine, drive a bit and then the same thing happens again. So I thought the battery must be the problem, so I restarted the engine, drove fast (within speed limit) down the road and it was stuttering a bit but it was going, then I reached the end of the road so I had to turn around as it was a dead end, after stopping to let a car go by it done the same thing.

Could it be because I never let the engine heat up, I just started it and took off, in conjunction with not driving it for 3 days? It has been cold here (Aberdeen, Scotland) recently.

Note: It is only just due a service, if that makes a difference.

I am in Scotland, UK and I have a TV with built in Freeview.

I have rescanned a few times over the past week as instructed by my TV (a message is displayed) however I still do not get many channels - only 15 digital channels.

My question is, if I am able to receive some digital channels then why can I not get more? What is the difference between one digital channel and another?

According to the Freeview website I should get around double.

During my lunch hour I took my car to a garage to get a new headlight put in. Afterwards I drove to a nearby shop for some food, and the cd player (and presumably the radio) was playing fine.

After exiting the shop and starting the car, the radio or cd would not play. When a CD is in, it would appear to be playing (the screen would indicate how many seconds have elapsed, etc..) but no sound. The volume was turned up just for clarification.

On the screen the letters 'RDS' and 'TA' were flashing on and off.

I think RDS is short for Radio Signal, but what is TA? And how do i fix this?

Tonight I am cooking a starter for some friends (they are cooking the main and pudding).

Someone suggested I get some courgettes and slice them into 2 inch sections, scoop out most of the inside junk and fill them with some red roasted peppers and some feta. To serve, stick them in the oven for a few minutes.

My question is: Once out the oven do you eat the whole thing (including the courgette), I have never tried them before.

Also, is this dish known as something?

I have a P reg Ford Fiesta, a 1.2L. Last week I put her in for some new spark plugs, they also cleared out some filter. She has been running fine since then.

Today I went out to start her up and it was a bad frost over night. -5 degrees. When I tried to start the car the engine does not even tick over. I think it is because it was so cold, but I cannot have a car that doesnt start in the cold, I live in North Scotland!

Will buying a new battery fix this?

I play some Gamecube games on my Nintendo Wii and for some games you require a Gamecube Memory Card to save your progress/unlocked items.

Is this the same as a SD memory card for the Wii? Such as http://www.game.co.uk/Wii/Hardware/Accessory/~r329... ?

Okay, this is quite specific so I hope you can help me.

I am looking to buy my first place soon. This all depends on my earnings I suppose.

1) I live in Scotland and lets say there is a property valued at offers over £65,000. In Scotland this normally means that it will go for £10-£15,000 more, correct?

2) I am probably looking at being able to afford a mortgage montly repayment of £500. In your opinion what will be the cost of council tax and so on, I am hoping under £750 (council tax and monthly repayment).

3) Is a deposit necessary? If so how much?
