  • My spell checker disappeared!!?

I ran a scan on my computer two days ago, and it turned my spell checker off. I'm running Firefox, but the suggested method of turning it back on didn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • Am I being too strict with my 15 year old?

She's upset that I won't allow her to go for walks alone in the evening after its dark out. I told her she could go with a friend, but she likes to walk by herself, and doesn't have anyone willing to go with her. Its winter now, it gets dark before 7, and she thinks I'm being too harsh telling her she needs to be indoors by then. I just don't feel its terribly safe for a young girl to be out wandering around alone in the dark, even if it is only 7pm. Thoughts?

  • Why do I feel guilty? It was an honest omission?

My husband worked late last night. He's a trucker, the roads were bad, it happens.

A male co-worker of mine who, yes, I'm attracted to, came by to buy some collectible bottles, and ended up staying for close to an hour. We were just looking at antiques and talking about stuff.... Absolutely tame.

My husband got home an hour or so later, and I never mentioned the visit. I didn't want an interrogation, and he can be insecure at times. I thought I was avoiding an argument, But later, I felt like I was guilty by omission. Like if he finds out today that my co-worker was over, it'll be worse because I didn't mention it last night. But, even though I find this guy attractive, he has a gf, and I'd never cheat.... We didn't do anything. Was I wrong though?? Should I mention it? Or would telling him a day late just be worse?

  • Falling for this guy, but I'm in a long term relationship. Help!!?

I've been in a relationship for over 7 years and I love the guy I'm with. He treats me well, we get along great, and I can't imagine life without him.... Which is why I can't figure out why I can't shake the feelings I have for my co-worker! I feel like such a damn tool :(

I've had a thing for my co-worker for a year, and he's made it clear he would reciprocate if I were to allow it.

Part of me wants him so badly it drives me to distraction. Part of me is just disgusted and confused by these feelings. What do I do? How do I kill these feelings?

    Or.... Do I?

  • Lesions on iguana from dog attack, or mites?

We got her a month ago from a home where she had been attacked by a tiny dog, and were told the black marks on her skin were a result of the attack. Since she shed, the black marks are now white lesions, some of which look a little raw.

Since bringing her home I have found four mites on her, three on the face and one under a flap of shedding skin. I have treated the mites. But.... Are the lesions likely from the dog, or the mites? Or could it be another issue entirely?

  • Insight into lifelong restlessness.... Am I the only one?

I can rarely sit still for 20 minutes at a time. I work a physical job and I don't get tired, I walk miles a day, when I'm not working, I'm volunteering. When I'm home, I'm cleaning or gardening or I'm fideting...My kids complain at my inability to even watch a full movie without getting up. And its usually a good thing but sometimes its irritating as hell! I WANT to sit and relax, but I can't!! The adrenaline is just too much, its like living with a dragon under my skin, and he only sleeps when I'm moving! I'm 36 years old, and I've been this way most of my life. Insights??

  • Should I ask for a raise under these circumstances?

I am an experienced landscaper going into my third season with the same company. Because I don't drive, I'm at the bottom of the pay scale. I understand that not driving makes me less of an asset... HOWEVER.... Most of our employees have never landscaped, and require training. New hires with their licences are paid a dollar an hour more than me, even though I'm training them and they have no experience.

I want to ask my employer for a raise to the level of the new hires that drive because we are a landscaping company, and I'm a landscaper. I feel I deserve a raise because I'm also training a lot of these guys, and in doing so, I am often doing most of the work, but at the end of the day, the driving trainee had made more than me.

Do you think these are fair grounds to ask for a raise?
