How can I remove debt that is from 1997 from my credit report?
My ex husband and I opened a joint account to purchase encyclopedias for our children back in 1997 in Maine. It was a joint account. We may have made payments on it while we lived in Maine but we moved to FL in 1998. We never made any payments after moving to FL so this account is 13 years old. In 2009 I ran my equifax report and the debt was gone, apparently that same year the company United Educators sold this debt to a collection agency and now they have put it back on my credit report as a $2200.00 collection from 2009. The collection agency told me that my ex husband isn't even on the account (he's in prison anyway so I'm sure his credit will be great by the time he gets out). The collection agency also tried to tell me that the 7 year rule is a myth. This account is so old it's not my fault the collection agency is stupid enough to purchase a debt that is way beyond the statute of limitations. Is there anyway I can get this off my report? I am not paying this debt since it was my exhusbands brain child and I would never even be able to sue him to recover my losses. any advice you can offer will be great. I would rather pay an attorney to help get it off there but I don't know if that can even be done.

1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoPermutation problem about social security numbers?

1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoPermutation math problem?
Many states offer personalized license plates. California, for example, allows personalized plates with seven spaces for numerals or letters, or one of the following four symbols.
What is the total number of license plates possible using this counting scheme? (Assume that each available space is occupied by a numeral, letter, symbol, or space. Give the answer in scientific notation. Round the first number to two decimal places.)
I can't seem to get the correct answer adding the four symbols in with the numbers and letters. using the fundamental counting principle I am lost. Any assistance would be great.

7 AnswersCredit1 decade agowill my motion to dismiss be laughed at?
in 2001 I opened a prepaid verizon cell phone account. When my ex husband was released from jail in dec 2002 i changed over to a billed customer account and had two cell phones in my name that we used. Without my knowledge he was dealing drugs and ran the bill up to 1700.00 in just two months. The bill has gone to collections and when they sent me arbitration summons i got scared and started making payments for awhile which i learned renewed the debt otherewise it would have been uncollectable. In my divorce decree it lists him as owing 1600 of the bill and my debt was only 175. I paid probably 250 toward the debt. I am now remarried (they served me as my former name) and i am being sued civilly by the collection company. Will the divorce decree stating it is his debt be enough to dismiss? i am the sole provider for a family of 6 and can't afford to pay for his drug trafficking calls..any insight you can give would be great.
also he is currently incarcerated for selling drugs till 2017 so i cannot sue him to recover the money either.
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhat takes the pharmacist so long to fill my script?
Ok...so I go to the 24 hour pharmacy at 5 am cuz that is when i get off work. I go to the same pharmacy all the time...i am in their computer...i have the same insurance for 10 years...i have same copay..i turn in a script for a medication I've had many many times before....it's 5 am...there is NO ONE in the pharmacy....and the guy says the typical line I always here....."it'll be 20 minutes".....what?? So for you pharmacists or pharmacology techs....why the hell does it take 20 minutes to count out 30 stinking pills if you know my insurance is good and the medication is covered......I never understand why it takes so long. Its not like he has to make the pills himself he just had to count them. And some scripts are pre-made in the box and they just slap a label on it and hand it to you...and that still takes the usual 20 minutes...so what's up?

4 AnswersMathematics1 decade agowhat do you feed your autistic child?
Mine is very picky. I am always concerned that she is underweight. 50 pounds at age 8. I feel like she is whithering away and just want to get her to eat more. Today my daughter ate half a banana and 5 or 6 goldfish crackers with some milk for lunch. She needs more calories, but eats like a bird. She doesn't seem hungry either. Does anyone have similar problem with their autistic child?
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agoArbitration question. claimant misrepresented the amount I owe what can I do?
I had a company take me through arbitration. I answered the arbitration letter (they said to send in any documents I had) and a fee of 150.00 for the lawyer fee. I can't afford a lawyer or their fee and I stated that in the letter. The claimant filed papers that state I owe 1700 dollars roughly. I have made previous payments and I actually only owe 1500. Is there any course of action I can take since the claimant is trying to get the whole sum again even though I've already paid 250.00 of the amount? They didn't even tell the arbitrator that I paid anything. This seems like pure fraud. I know it is taking me a long time to pay off an old debt, but should they be allowed to just make me pay the whole amount again?
1 AnswerPersonal Finance1 decade agoCivil law in Florida?
My ex husband is in jail until 2017 for being a drug dealer. While we were still married I had 2 cell phones with Verizon. In 2 months he ran the bill up with his drug deals to 1700.00. Verizon sold my debt to Midland credit Management and they took me through arbitration and now say I owe the entire amount to them. I realize I am liable and have been sending payments of 25.00 as that is all i can afford. I have 3 kids from this marriage and am the sole wage earner so I am on a strict budget. Is there a statute of limitations in florida for suing in civil court?

3 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoFeeding picky eater ..autistic child?
I have an autistic 8 year old daughter who barely eats anything. I need some advice on what things I can get her to eat, or any advice on ways to sneak nutrition into her very limited diet. She refuses any food she does not recognize. She is even picky about junk food. She will not eat any candy at all (she used to like m&ms but won't eat them not) She will only eat a regular Hershey bar (she will not even eat hershey kisses because they look different) Here are some things she will eat Hershey bar, oreo cookies (oreo brand only) and chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter only(no pb and j sandwiches) cheezit crackers, goldfish, kix cereal, eggo waffles or pancakes (no syrup-she doesn't like it), pizza (sometimes), cinnamon toast, cinnamon brown sugar pop tarts(eats one with milk and shes done), She drinks only whole milk and apple juice. She used to eat grilled cheese and mashed potatos and mac n cheese and even a chicken nugget once in awhile. It seems like she goes through phases when she will accept certain foods. Basically she is addicted to carbs. I tried to do the gluten free diet, but she will refuse to eat if it is not something she wants to. I've also tried to get her to drink pediasure and yoohoo or at least somthing with vitamins to no avail. I feel like she must barely take in enough calories to survive. Her BMI is 13% she only weighs 45 pounds and her pediatrician wasn't even worried about it. (Its like their office dosen't know what to do with an autistic kid, we didn't even get to finish the exam because she would not tolerate the doc checking her ears) I am concerned she doesn't get enough nutrition and it seems like she is getting pickier by the day. Any autism parents going through this?? I'd love any tips you could send me. Thanks.
4 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoArbitration question?
I have an old (2004) cell phone bill that was run up by my ex husband doing drug deals (2 month bill was 1600.00) Recently I received notification that my debt was sold from Verizon to midland credit management. Midland credit took my to arbitration and won and now they say I have to pay the amount. Other people have told me to leave it and it will drop off my credit sooner. What should I do? I have 3 kids from that marriage and he is in jail till 2018 so I can't even sue him civilly when he actually owes the debt. i am screwed and have to pay it. Can the state of florida garnish my wages to pay it off? Can I just start sending them like 10 dollars a month? What should I do?
