  • Why is my ice cream scoop rubbing off onto my ice cream?

I have two ice cream scoops, both are thick, heavy, and made of dark metal. I've had one for 30 years and the other for ten. I use the older one primarily, and have always washed it in the dishwasher with no problems. A couple of months ago I noticed it leave a dark gray smear on a scoop of ice cream, and upon wiping it with a paper towel more came off. I switched to the newer scoop, though it is now having the problem as well. Like I said I've had both for a long time, and have been putting both in the dishwasher, for a long time. I got a new dishwasher last August; could that have something to do with this problem which has just started happening in the past few months?

    Thanks.

  • Question about Microsoft Word 2010?

Whenever I select a portion of text to bold, underline, etc., those changes are automatically applied to the entire document as opposed to only the selected text. Does anyone know what causes this, and how I can turn it off? As an extra bonus, can anyone tell me why this feature exists in the first place? Thank you!

  • Christian History: Who was this about?

"The entire world has turned Arian"

"Then it's _______ versus the world"

Who's name goes in the blank? I know the answer, I'm just looking to see what people know. A short background: Arianism was an early Christian Heresy that taught that Jesus was just a man and not God, at one point it consumed most of the Christian world, even the emperor Constantine. The council of Nicea was called in the 4th century to combat it. God Bless.

  • Northern Tier Adventure Base?

Does Northern Tier High Adventure Base (Boy Scouts of America), located near Ely, Minnesota, have specific health requirements? I've been told that there are not, and looking around their website I found a description of the physical work required, but nothing stating that a participant must have a certain height to weight ratio like Philmont.

  • English- Latin and Germanic?

The English language is both Latin and Germanic, but which one is it more of? I have a hard time believing that it is an equal mix. In my studies of German and of Latin based languages, I have found that English seems to be much closer to German than to Latin. Is this true???

  • Protestant reformation, What makes it right?

For a long time I was a protestant, but as I came closer to God I realized that there must be a better, deeper faith in Him. A few years ago I became Catholic, but all my protestant friends and family disproved. What I want to know is what justifications are there for people such as Luther, King Henry, Calvin, etc. for leaving the Catholic church?
