I need a new laptop for engineering at college and I suggestions. My budget is $1000 which I know can be too low for a engineering laptop, but I don't have extra money to spare. I prefer intel i7, at least 8gb ram, and either quadro or firepro graphics if possible. Storage should be 500gb or more. Any suggestions?

So I had my first build and everything turns on. The gpu's fan is running but the problem is that it won't display anything. I tried dvi and hdmi on different monitors but I get the same "no input...". I removed the gpu and ram and I get no beeps at all. I can't even update the bios without the display. I did drop a screw and screwdriver by accident on the motherboard but it seems to be working fine. What can I do to fix it?

It's a 4th gen 8gb ipod touch black in great condition. Had a case and screen protector on it since the day I bought it. I don't use it anymore so I was looking to sell and maybe upgrade to a new Apple device. How much would it be worth?

So I want to become an engineer who designs smartphones, tablets, computers or like devices. I researched majors related to this but there are some that overlap so I do not know which major I want to go in. The majors are computer engineering-general, computer engineer other and there is computer hardware engineering. (all from cappex.com). I really love computers and technology, but I am not sure which major I should go into. So what specific major would I be best fit in?

I recently got ubuntu trusty tahr and I installed java from terminal. When I go to the java test it says I have the latest java installed in firefox. However, it will not show up in chromium. I checked about://plugins but java is not listed there. I know I have java installed, but I don't know if I need to do any special configuration for chromium?

So I'm trying to sell my iPod to buy an iPhone. I have a 4th gen 8gb iPod touch in excellent condition. It has no scratches and I had a screen protector and case on since the day I bought it. The back has little blemishes that will probably come off due to the case. I kept it in really good conditions, no problems whatsoever. Give me your honest opinion of what it is worth.

So my school club is going to do the fundraiser with Panda Express. We get 20% of the sales and want to know when people go to Panda Express the most in general? Like friday during the noon? We want to raise as much money and knowing the general times and days of the week is the most busiest can be helpful.

I am thinking of building my own pc, but I am not sure if windows 8.1 is worth the $100. I am on a low budget so I don't want to waste. Alternatively, I can run ubuntu and other linux which I am using on my current laptop.

My HP g60 laptops hard disk failed recently. the disc makes weird pattern Noises. When I turned on the laptop, the hard disk makes low beep and high beep noise pattern for about 4 sec and seems to not load. I changed the bios setting to recognize hard disk before CD drive. Now not even the HP logo will come up. What can I do to reach bios? I can't press esc to enter bios.

So After installing Ubuntu 13.10, my laptop would not boot bios. It gives me 4 beeps with a black screen. I checked with the beep codes for my HP and it said bad checksum, corrupted image etc. I have installed many is before and created complex partitions. So i decided to to format my hard drive and just have Ubuntu. I have reseteed memory, taken out battery,etc but it is stuck with the 4 beeps. How can I fix thia ?

So Walmart is selling a 32 inch Funai brand tv for $99. I never heard of this brand so I was kind of skeptical about its reliability. I don't want to go home with a defective or crappy TV. Should I go for it, or choose another TV?
