  • What is the best software to use to learn Dutch?

I would like to learn Dutch to use during business trips. A lot of the software I've found either helps you learn how to write it OR how to speak it. Is there a good brand that will help learn both?

I'd also like to keep it affordable because I'm doing this on my own - so Rosetta Stone is out of the running.

    Thank you!

  • What are some good places to shop online?

I want to buy some new clothes, but there's nothing I'm interested in at the usual stores (JCPenney, NY&CO).

What are some good online stores to shop at?

To let you know, I'm a 23 year old and too tall to shop at stores like Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe.

  • Sending E-mail on iPhone 3G?

I got an iPhone about two months ago. I've noticed that I can receive e-mail when on the 3G network, but I cannot send anything. I can send it if I'm on a wireless network though. Does anyone know if there is anything for me to do so that I can send e-mail when I'm not connected to a wireless network?

  • Where to find jeans that fit my body type?

I have a very hard time finding jeans that fit properly. I am very tall (6'0), with a narrow waist and wide hips. When I buy jeans that fit my hips, the waist is huge. Does anyone know where I can find jeans in a tall that would fit?

  • Which computer to pick?

My current laptop is four years old, and it has been having 'issues' recently. I'm ready to replace it and was wondering which laptops are inexpensive/still good quality.

    Thanks!

  • Windows Security & Pop-Ups (Virus?)?

On Sunday, a notification popped up in that Automatic Updates was turned off in the Windows Security Center. I tried to turn it back on in the Security Center, but it came up with an error message and said to try changing it going through the Control Panel. I was able to change it in the Control Panel, but the notification kept popping up.

After this occurred, I started getting pop-up ads for insurance, Viagra, etc. all of the time.

I ran a spybot program, did a full system scan with McAfee, and even did a system restore to last week before this problem occurred.

I asked this earlier today when the Windows Security Center problem cleared itself up, but now it's back.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do or how to fix this?!

  • How to fix my Directv signal?

A few months ago when I had Directv installed, the installer split the signal from the den to my bedroom (the box is in the den, and we watch one or the other).

Yesterday, we had the receiver upgraded to a DVR. When we tried to watch tv in the bedroom, there is no longer a picture. I called Directv and they said they do not support anything that is split even though it was their installer that split it.

Is there any way to split the signal from a DVR box?

  • Jobs with the elderly / senior citizens?

I am currently in the market for a new job. I've realized that I like to help the elderly/senior citizens, and would like to pursue a career that would deal with them.

I do not have any nursing degree or background, so that is not an option. I do have an undergraduate degree in finance.

    Any suggestions?

  • Help with hot rollers?

Also, do you have any special tricks to use the rollers? Thanks!

  • How to get beach-y waves in my hair?

I have really thick, straight hair. I've tried doing this with a curling iron, but it takes forever and they don't last for more than a few hours. Does anyone have any ideas how to get waves to stay in my hair (and not take an hour to style)?

  • Getting Eye Shadow To Stay In Place?

I've always had a problem getting my eye shadow to stay in place. I have used creme and powder shadows, but after a few hours, they end up caked in the crease of my eye. I have also tried 'eye primer' that is supposed to make eye makeup stay in where you put it. Does anyone have some advice to get it to stay in place?

  • Products to reverse a body wave/perm?

I got a body wave (that wound up looking like a pretty tight perm) two weeks ago and really, really dislike it. It has barely loosened up at all, and is always really frizzy no matter how much anti-frizz product I use. So, I am going to straighten it on my own by using an at-home perm kit and combing it through/not using rollers as per advice I previously received through Yahoo!Answers.

I would now like to ask if there is a particular brand or kind that I should be looking for. I have access to practically any drug store and a Sally Beauty Supply store.

Also, should I buy a certain type of conditioner or treatment to help my hair after I straighten it? It's back to a normal, healthy state now.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  • I want to reverse my perm/body wave.?

On Tuesday (2/19) I got a body wave. I was expecting loose waves, but I got a tight perm instead. My hair is so thick that is just puffs into a sea of frizz. I cannot seem to get it to style nicely either. My hair doesn't feel dry or damaged though. However, it is a bit stiff at the roots.

I did some research on getting rid of a perm/body wave and saw that you could buy an at-home perm kit and comb it through your hair instead of using rollers. How long should I wait to do this? Also, can anyone recommend any hair-care products that I can use on my hair to help it recover from this?

As a side-note, do you have any ideas on how to attempt to style my hair until I straighten my hair?

Thank you in advance for any advice you have!
