Has anyone heard of a fish called "chicken fish" that comes from Baja California?
When I was younger my mom went to Puerto Penasco, Mexico with some friends and brought back a small (4 inches wide x 6 inches long), round fish the locals called "chicken fish." I don't know what the real name of the fish was, but when cooked (roasted, grilled or fried) it had a very meaty texture almost like flaky chicken. I'd like to try it again, but I can't find anyone who knows anything about it.
1 AnswerEthnic Cuisine9 years agoWho should I start - Owen Daniels or Rob Gronkowski?
I know Daniels seems like the more reliable pick for week one, but the Gronk had better numbers as a rookie last year and seems like a solid sleeper pick for 2011. I just don't know if I am ready to get the sleeper in from the beginning.
3 AnswersFantasy Sports10 years agoWhere can I find a bolt to fit a 1-1/2 inch copper to male adapter?
Here's a link to an example: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/MUELLER-Adapter-5...
I just need a nut and hopefully a rubber washer for this. It isn't for a plumbing project, just a little fun project I am doing at home, so I doesn't necessarily have to be copper. Steel, brass or aluminum would work, but it can't be plastic. I found something that would work at Home Depot, but they didn't sell it individually and it would have been about $30 to buy a bunch of stuff I didn't need.

Because that is what will happen if health care reform doesn't pass.
30 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat does dark fluid into a colostomy mean?
My grandfather is in the hospital right now because he has an infection in his colon. He had an emergency operation and a portion of his colon was removed. In order to allow him to heal he was given a colostomy. However, not dark fluid is coming into the catch and the doctor says it should be a pink fluid.
My grandfather is quite medically fragile. He has very serious heart problems and in recent years has had trouble healing from injuries.
I guess I want to know what you think the prognosis is (if anyone knows) and what the fluid coloring means.

3 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoDo you agree with conservative commentators who think Governor Palin should step down?
Kathleen Parker recently said that Palin is "out of her league" and "It was fun while it lasted," Parker writes. "Palin’s recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now Katie Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident candidate. Who is clearly out of her league." And my favorite line: “If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself,"
“Only Palin can save McCain, her party, and the country she loves," Parker writes. "She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first. Do it for your country."

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid Sarah Palin actually know what the Bush Doctrine was in the interview that aired last night?
And before you complain about the wording, I realize that it is also referred to as the National Security Strategy, but that wasn't how the question was phrased.
I posed this question yesterday in a very unbiased and fair way hoping to get actual discussion, but instead I was reported for violating guidelines. Classic.
21 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow is this not a question?
Social conservatives, if
abortion is so important to you then what about Psalm 137?
I asked this earlier and was sited for violating community guidelines because it was "not a question." My appeal, which cited the grammatical rule for forming a question was rejected.
I would like an answer to my actual question: How do social conservatives who believe that the Bible is literal truth reconcile the fact that Psalm 137 celebrates bashing babies' heads against rocks? Then when it is election time they vote on one issue: abortion because it is "killing babies". Or maybe you just want to report me again so that you don't have to actually think about it.

15 AnswersElections1 decade agoHas anyone seen that episode of Family Guy where Lois runs for mayor?
When they are campaigning Lois gives very thoughtful dynamic answers while the incumbent just says yes/no and blames everything on terrorists. Did anyone else feel like the Saddleback forum was a rerun of that episode? Obama: thoughtful, dynamic. McCain: well, you get the idea...

32 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan I have a non-cliche answer?
Some Christians are very eager to describe their faith, but the way they do it often leads me to believe that they have no idea what they are actually talking about. Isn't there more to it than just being a good person who doesn't sin because anyone can follow rules and be good? I would like to hear a Christian describe how to be a Christian without using the words "Just accept Jesus into your heart." I would like to hear a Christian describe how Christians should know how to act without saying, "faith leads us down the path of righteousness." Or "The Bible tells us how." I would like to hear a Christian say what the purpose of being a Christian is with something more specific than, "To bring glory to God." Or "To usher in the kingdom of Heaven." I am not trying to prove some point here. I want to know what you mean specifically by "righteousness." What does it mean right now, today, in a real way to "bring Glory to God"? Etc. Can you do it? Without sounding cliche.
