My sheltie is 5 yrs old, and one of the smaller ones. She has gotten to be 30 lbs and the vet recommends that she be about 23 lbs. I'm only giving her 2/3 cup a day, 1/3 in the AM and 1/3 in PM. I'm giving her Purina ProPlan weight management. I know plain purina isn't a great food, but I know Proplan is. I also am walking her twice a day for about 20 min each time. She's still not really losing weight. She also has had her thyroid checked recently and it was fine. Before we got her her previous owner said she did have a thyroid problem, but the vet thinks it's still fine. Any suggestions? Also, she's not a super active sheltie, she's a retired show dog so it seems she was trained not to be super excitable.

My living room is pretty dark and gloomy with dark wood paneling on all the walls, even with all 3 windows shades and curtains open.Originally the landlord said we could paint them white but I figure it would take a lot of coats to cover it, and I feel like she's changed her mind anyway. I'm looking for a low cost, non-permanent fix for this??

So the birth control I switched to in January (Loestrin 24) has had me all screwed up. I did not get a period the first 2 months, got one March April and May, and did not get it in June. I was supposed to get my last one on a Thursday and took a pregnancy test Friday of the following week, which

was negative. But I have had some "bloating" in my abdomen and breasts feel kind of tender and sore to the touch. I have had to buy so many pregnancy tests so far this year that (and they're expensive!!) so I don't even know if I should bother to get another? FYI I'm almost 21 and engaged (not sleeping around or anything).

So... My fiance (will be 22) and I (will be 21) are trying to plan our wedding in the finger lakes region of New York, where we live for August 8, 2009. I will be just out of college and he will have one year left, so the budget is VERY tight we are paying for almost all if it ourselves, my mother offered to give us $1000 as the wedding present. We would love to get married on cayuga lake, or at one of the falls, but most places are too pricey. Does anyone have any unique ideas and money saving tips? I'm getting very discouraged. I don't need anything extravagant, just simple, beautiful, and unique.

I turned my car on this morning and when I put it in reverse and started driving I heard a clicking noise under the dash and then the service light came on. Its a '01 Chevy Cavalier, I checked all of the liquid/fuel levels and they all are good. Could it be an electric problem? I recently got a CD-Player installed at Best Buy and it kept shutting off in random times and wouldn't turn back on until I restarted the car, haven't gotten the chance to go back and get it fixed, could this be the cause? What else could this be?

I have curly/wavy hair, and when it gets put up it is shiny and nice, except the ponytail takes longer, and doesn't get soft and shiny for a few hours after I shower it's weird. Basically my problem is that I can wear my hair down, and curly because it indefinitely gets frizzy! I bought fekkai curl cream which everyone raves about for frizzy curls but it didn't help me. My hair is healthy because it's soft and shiny when it's up and when I straighten it (wet 2 dry straightener), and I don't have split ends. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for me. (I don't blowdry, ever-it makes it 100% worse) PLEASE HELP.

Okay so I have been on birth control for almost 5 years but I just switched from Enpresse to LoEstrin 24 FE, and I am having some issues. When I first started the 1st pack of LoEstrin I had some spotting after about a week. Now that I have finished the pack completely (on saturday) I still haven't gotten my period. I took a pregnancy test just to make sure, and it came out negative. I was supposed to start the new pack last night but I don't know if I should since I haven't gotten my period. Should I start it anyway?

I work at bath and body works and I kind of want to know the names that they are currently playing, I can't remember them, and don't work for a few more days. I know a few of them are "don't wait-dashboard confessional and I'd Like to by Corrine Bailey Rae" They have certain CDs they have to play and I'm looking for songs from the current one.

So I have finally decided to become a vegetarian..the videos of how they treat animals are disgusting. But I really need some help. What are some of the best nutritionally infused fruits and vegetables to eat so I can stay healthy during this adjustment. I am not going to become a vegan so I will still eat/drink dairy. I also know to get protein from things like peanut butter etc. But I really just don't know the best way to feel satisfied (hunger) with these foods without eating a ton of it. I am also a college student, so unfortunately I cannot spend a fortune on expensive produce and things like that, so I really need some advice. THANKS!!!

I've had bad chest pain for three days now (don't smoke, never have). It's REALLY bad when I try to swallow when I'm eating. I don't have a cough or anything, but it really hurts. Is this worth going to the doctor over?

I'm basically doing a detox with cabbage soup being the base of it, but obviously I'm still hungry, I know that you can have fruits, veggies, and brown rice..but is there anything else..like possibly pickles? I've heard that they are a "free food," but I don't know if the vinegar is okay during detox?

I've heard that swiffer wet jet caused some pets to suffer from liver failure..or something along those lines. I want to know if the clorox redi mop is safe to use in my kitchen around pets (specifically cats)?

I get severe canker sores, so I use Rembrandt canker sore toothpaste because it does not cause SLS, but I don't feel that it cleans my teeth well enough, but any mouth wash I have used in the past makes them worse. I was wondering if crest prohealth mouthwash (without alcohol) would have anything that would aggravate this?
