  • Online high school is stressing me out. Please help me?

I am a junior in High School. During my sophomore year, I went through a ton of crap that convinced me to quit public school. I was switched into online schooling for this year, and I thought it would be a lot better. But turns out it's not. It's the end of the semester, and things have gone downhill quickly. I'm behind in three of my five classes, because I wanted to take my time with some assignments and of course sick days. I want to finish, but every time I log in I see disheartening messages reminding me that I MUST finish or I WILL be failed. I end up getting nervous and thinking that I'm pretty much screwed and will fail. I try to catch up, but I feel that it's just not worth trying anymore.

Most of the assignments are simple, but I just don't feel like doing them. The others are DBAs, or Discussion Based Assessments, where I call the teacher and we do a lesson review. My problem with these is that I have social anxiety (Part of the reason I wanted to switch to virtual school in the first place), and calling the teachers makes me nervous. I'm worried that I'll get chewed out for being behind pace, that I won't know the answers to the questions they ask, etc. I end up cancelling the DBAs an hour before I'm set to do them (Or I purposely don't schedule them). Now I need them to catch up, but they're all booked up, and the ones I can get I end up cancelling/skipping because of nervousness.

I feel hopeless right now, and the semester's almost over. What can I do?

  • Photobucket connected to my Mom's Facebook?

I've had my Photobucket for three years, and keep my pictures and album private.

One day, when I logged on, however, I noticed that my mother's Facebook avatar was now my Photobucket avatar. I don't have a Facebook, and she's never used my Photobucket to share any pictures, so I don't know how this could have happened. But now, they're somehow connected, and I'm slightly worried.

Could someone please explain how this happened, and how I can stop the connection? Thanks.

  • Why do some Disney fans not count the original Kingdom Hearts characters as Disney characters?

According to the research I've done, Disney owns the characters to the series (Actually the whole franchise), so why don't people count them? I've seen a bunch of online fan groups that don't count them, despite the fact that they are Disney characters.

  • Should I play/buy Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories or Kingdom Hearts 2 next?

I have the first Kingdom Hearts on PS2 and am very close to finishing it. I know that next in the series chronologically is Chain of Memories, but I know the whole story to that game (I've seen all the cutscenes and read the manga to boot) and I heard that the gameplay is very difficult to actually get an understanding of as it's very different from the other games. Plus, I'd really like to get to Kingdom Hearts 2 as I barely know the story to it.

So, since I know the story to Chain of Memories, should I go ahead and get Kingdom Hearts 2 once I'm done with 1? Or should I get Re:Chain of Memories and play through it anyway?

    Thanks!

  • Some good, original names for a male pirate captain?

I'm writing a story that features some pirates as villains. The story takes place in the modern day, but I wanted the pirates to be more like the pirates of legends and stories and etc., so I don't want very modern names. I have fairly good names for the crew, but I have no idea what the captain's name should be.

Any ideas are welcome, thank you!

  • How do I explain to people that I'm not a huge anime fan, even though I love Kingdom Hearts?

I absolutely LOVE the Kingdom Hearts game series and am a HUGE fan, mostly because I'm a big Disney fan and love the whole plot and idea of the game, along with the characters, and I've been all over the series ever since I saw an ad for the first one on an old Disney video I have. I found a few friends at school who are interested in the series as well, but most of them are also huge fans of anime and manga, and they'll recommend all these shows and books to me, even though I'm not a big fan of any else in the genre. I used to watch Sailor Moon (Not anymore, however), and I also like the movies from Studio Ghibli that Disney brings over to the US once in a while, but other than those and Kingdom Hearts, I haven't been exposed to too much in the genre, and am not really interested in the other anime and manga that are out there.

But the thing is that since I am a big fan of Kingdom Hearts, I read the whole collection of manga for Kingdom Hearts 1 and Chain of Memories. And so automatically, I convinced people that I was in to that sort of thing. And my t-shirt for Kingdom Hearts doesn't help much either.

So, a lot of people, like several old friends and people that I'd like to become my friends, won't talk to me because they think I'm an anime nerd and that that's all I'll talk about. True, I can get deep into a conversation about Kingdom Hearts, but I'm into a lot of other things as well. And then, on the opposite hand, people who see the Kingdom Hearts shirt automatically think I'm an anime fan and start asking me if I've seen this anime or that one, when I don't watch it all that much.

So, how can I explain that I'm not a big fan, even though I love Kingdom Hearts? I don't want to lose friends or gain friends that I have nothing in common with.

    Please help!

  • Should I get the 3DS if I only want one or two games for it?

I've had a regular DS lite for quite a few years now, and have always been perfectly happy with it. It works great and I have a couple of games on it that I love to play nonstop.

But the latest release in my favorite game series, Kingdom Hearts, is on the 3DS and I am dying to get the game, and so when my Mom asked about what I wanted for Christmas I told her to get me a 3DS and that game, but I'm not sure that it'll be worth getting because I only really want that one game (There is another that I might want but I'm not sure about it yet) on the system. The only other reason is because I feel that my system needs an upgrade since they either stopped making or make very few new DS lite games. Besides, I'm also asking for the Epic Mickey sequel (Not on the 3DS but on the Wii) and that brings the total up a lot.

So, is it worth it to get a 3DS if I only want one or two games on the system and my DS lite is still in working order (and I use it pretty much everyday)? Please help! Thanks!

  • How violent is the Tim Burton movie musical Sweeney Todd?

I've never actually watched any gorey horror movies before, but a few years ago my Mom let me watch Sweeney Todd; I had to leave the room whenever he slit someone's throat.

Now I'm older and, being a fan of musicals, I'd like to watch it again. I have a friend who is used to watching the blood & guts horror movies, and I was planning on asking her to watch it with me.

I mostly want to watch it for the songs and story, but I'm just curious. How violent is Sweeney Todd, and will I be able to handle it? The one time I watched it a while back I accidentally came in the room when he slit someone's throat, but I don't think it bothered me.

I'm not used to watching movies like this, but I really would like to see it. I've got one of the songs on my MP3 player because I like it so much. But since I was out of the room for most of the movie I can't remember much of it at all.

So, how bad is it violence wise? I can handle language and etc. but is it very bad violence wise?

    Thank you!

  • Does anyone think the whole "Part 1 and Part 2" thing for last in the series movies is going to become normal?

Like with Harry Potter and Twilight. Do you think other moviemakers are going to start doing this, even if the movie doesn't need to be split? Maybe to do it just for money? Or to see if people go to see the movie before putting out part 2?

I'm just curious, since I already saw the preview for Breaking Dawn part 2. And I also read that the Mockingjay movie will be in 2 parts.

So, is this going to start being a regular thing in movies, or is it just for those movies that need to be two parts?

  • Which Halloween costume should I choose?

I had my heart set on an Alice in Wonderland costume:

    http://www.partycity.com/product/adult+alice+costu...

Until I found this girl version of Batman's sidekick Robin that I liked:

    http://www.partycity.com/product/tween+girls+robin...

Which costume should I choose? My brother said he'd dress as the Knave from Alice in Wonderland, but he says he'd like to dress as Batman. So I thought that costume would go good with his choice.

    What do you think?

  • An accessory for my Alice (Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland) costume?

I've already decided on my Halloween costume:

    http://www.partycity.com/product/adult+alice+costu...

but I'm just wondering, what sort of accessory should I have to go with it? I've seen the movie tons of times, but I cannot think of any sort of accessory that would go with the costume. I have a keychain that was for sale while the movie was out, but that's pretty much the only Tim Burton Alice item I have.

I need the accessory to be inexpensive since the costume already costs a lot.

If you have any recommendations, please let me know. Thank you!

  • Have you decided what you're going to be for Halloween?

I'm going as the 19 year-old Alice from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Her costume is so beautiful! http://www.google.com/imgres?num=10&hl=en&biw=1024...

So, have you decided what you're going as this Halloween?

  • Is it bad having an overactive imagination?

I have a crazy overactive imagination. I've been writing a story that's had to do a lot with what I've imagined, and sometimes I sort of go into these moments where the characters in the story are there, and I'm the main character, and I sort of get new ideas for the story and act them out and change around the way the whole idea plays out before writing it down. My brother will sometimes go along with me and will help me with it, since his imagination is just a overactive as mine is.

I'm fully aware that it's not actually real, but I do this often, and sometimes whenever I'm not feeling too good, I start imagining new ideas for the story, or just imagine myself as the main character going through the story, and then I'll feel better.

I've shared the story with quite a few people, and some of their reactions are really rude, a lot of them tell me to "grow up" and to quit imagining this kind of stuff, even though it's sort of hard since my story takes place in a place that I have a deep personal connection with, and that I visit annually (Whenever I go, I'm always imagining new stuff for the story and having fun at the same time).

Is it bad that I do this sort of stuff, even though I'm 14 and going into High School? I never go into the the whole "act it out" stuff while I'm at school, I normally do it at home or when I'm at the place where the story takes place

So, is it weird and bad that I do this sort of stuff? Should I listen to what those people say?

    Please help!

  • How to let go of a friend who was nice but then started to get mean?

At the beginning of this school year, I became friends with a girl named Rachel who was fairly nice to me. We talked, she liked a lot of the things that I liked, and she was willing to sit with me at lunch when none else would. Eventually two other girls started to sit with us at lunch and we all became friends.

But now she has started to throw personal jokes at me just because I like stuff that most other people do not. She teases me because I really enjoy an old cartoon "Jonny Quest" a lot and have a kind of crush on the main character, and she also likes to throw jokes at me just because I love to read Harry Potter (the religion she is apart of doesn't allow her to read HP) and she can't. And I've been writing a story that she has tried to change around. I got so mad at her that I ended up bringing her changes to an abrupt end by having the two characters she tried putting together break up.

And she covers all her jokes and comments up by saying "It was just a joke" even though to me, it's not.

And just yesterday, she saw me talking to a guy who has been my friend for a couple years now. Rachel started giggling and was telling everyone that he and I are are boyfriend and girlfriend, when in reality he has a girlfriend already (Who I am also friends with), and she knows that he and I are friends. Rachel hurt both our feelings through that comment, and again ended it with "It was just a joke".

So, I'm sick and tired of her comments and all that "It was just a joke" crap. But she has gotten so close to me that now I don't know how to get rid of her. I tried to just distance myself from her for a while, but she responded with fake tears and all that crap. Now, I am again trying to keep her away from me by distancing myself. But it is not working. She keeps trying to grab my attention, and she's been trying to sign up for the same classes as me next year so that she can be with more (She already sees me every day during third period). I don't think we have much in common after all, and I just don't think we can be friends. And for a few days now I've just be walking away from her and ignoring her every time she tries talking to me. She tried to HUG me today and I ran and started helping some of the other Chorus girls (Chorus is my 3rd period) dust off trophies.

So, how do I tell her that I don't like it when she teases me about my personal life and that we just can't be friends anymore? I don't want to do it in front of the other girls who hang out with us at lunch, because it doesn't involve them at all and I would still like to be their friends. But I barely even see her at any other time of day, and when I DO see her. She tries to spend every waking minute with me and tries to capture my attention. That's all she seems to want!!

What do I do? Please help!

  • Poll: Disney Cartoons, Nickelodeon Cartoons, Warner Bros. Cartoons, or Hanna-Barbera Cartoons?

In case you have no idea who did what, here are some examples:

    Disney

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney_Television_Ani... (Scroll down to List of Productions) By the way, Phineas and Ferb can count as a Disney cartoon, as well as anything on this list here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Disney_theatr...

    Nickelodeon

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicktoons

    Warner Bros. Cartoons

All that I can think of ATM is Looney Toons, and anything that is currently on Cartoon Network.

    Hanna-Barbera

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_works_produce...

So, which one do you think is the best?

I prefer H-B and Disney, most everything that they've done I enjoy.

  • Some unique/uncommon character names?

I'm trying to name three children in a story I'm writing, one of them I found a good name for, Jody (It's a boy), now I need to name the other two.

I'm looking for names for both boys and girls. I thought that I could name the girl Luna, but other ideas are welcome. As for the other boy, well, I have no idea with him. All the ones I've thought of are too common.

    Thank you for your help!

  • I have a dilemma with friends in groups for an upcoming school trip?

The Chorus and Band students at my school get to go to Islands of Adventure this May. We were recently asked to put together groups of who we wanted to hang out with in the park all day. So I put together a group of three, myself, my BFF since 5th grade (Who is in Band) and another friend in my Chorus class. Everything looked like it was going to work out, until a friend that I planned on inviting into the group that I was putting together invited me into her group. She told me that she had 4 people in the group and had room for one more (Our limit is five). She is a friend that I used to have two classes with last year and who used to be really close with me and is in Chorus just like myself. When I was about to tell her that I already had a group, she wrote my name down on the group sign up slip that we have to give to the teacher in order to confirm our groups. Now I am stuck in two groups, and don't know what the heck I'll do. I don't want to bump off my BFF, but I also don't want to hurt the feelings of my other friend.

How can I sort all this out? Please help!
