  • Please share your schedules for a 4-5m cat napper?

My DD has been a "crap" napper since day one. She'll sleep for 30m on the dot, and in the last week the afternoon nap (usually around 2) it's gone down to 15m.

I want to put her on a routine but the unusual sleeping patterns have hindered this. She wakes between 6:30-7a and needs to go down about 2 hrs after that. 30m later she's up and goes down 90m to 2 hrs later for close to an hour. After that she'll only sleep for 15m stretches and will wake up more tired that when she went down.

She's been deswaddled, formula fed ever 3.5hrs and sleeps well at night, and I let her CIO to an extent (usually cap it at 30m after going in a few times to replace her pacifier) but the days get really frustrating on both of us.

Any suggestions on how to lengthening her daytime sleep so she's happier? How can I put her on a schedule?

  • If you did Graduate Extinction (Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child), I have Questions for you?

I'm reading Dr. Marc Weissbluth's book, Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child and I am going to implement the Graduated Extinction method today. The book stays avg. people saw results after 4-9 nights.

My child is just over 3m and she is a horrible napper. I'm wonder if I can use the Graduated Extinction on naps too.

  • Is it ok for my newborn to be put to sleep with a pacifier?

My baby is 1w 4d old and has fallen in love with a pacifier tonight. I want to know if it is ok for me to put her to sleep while she is still sucking on the pacifier.

  • Red Eared Sliders, pH, Ammonia, Nitrate, and Nitrite - Should I be worried?

I bought 2 RES yesterday. Before that, I tried out the tank on a dozen feeder fish (which all survived) to make sure everything was up to par. I have a 125 gallon tank with 2 FilStar xP3 filters, 2 heaters with an H2O temp of 76-78 F, some live & fake plants, the RES, a basking dock & hiding log, feeder fish, and 6 sucker fish.

I realized yesterday when picking up the turtles that I never tested the tank. I got a API Fresh Water test kit & the results are as follows:

    pH - 7.6

Ammonia, Nitrate & Nitrite - 0 ppm (this is a new tank, so I was expecting these to be 0 as of right now).

I did use a reptile water conditioner in hopes to neutralize the tap water. Should I be worried about pH, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia, etc? Is there something missing I should be worried about?

  • What is the safest OTC Pain Reliever while pregnant (or possibly pregnant)?

As the rule goes, act as if you are pregnant until you know differently. I'm sore from work & minor cramping. What is the safest thing for me to take?

  • Implantation - Did you need a Tampon/Pad?

I've had the feeling that I'm pregnant, some of the symptoms, etc. for about a week. This morning, about 5a I got what I assumed to be, my period. Placed a tampon, kinda bummed out about not being pregnant, went back to sleep.

My positive prego thinking is walking out the door b/c what I've read, implantation doesn't require "feminine protection". It's light, but the cramping this afternoon was sever (regular for me). Did anyone elses' "implantation" require the need for a tampon/pad?

    TIA!
