How to go about finding a nice music composition notebook?
My husband is starting his Bachelors program for music production next week. Music composition is his passion, and I'd like to show my support by getting him a special present. I was thinking about a notebook of blank sheet music pages in a nice FAUX-leather (we're vegan) or something binder or cover of some sort....perhaps that I could even get his initials on. I've tried searching on Amazon but I can't seem to find anything. I don't really know all that much about this stuff. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Other - Music1 decade agoFarmville mystery eggs question.?
I've had 1 white chicken, 13 brown chickens, 2 black chickens, and 4 gold chickens in my coop for the last 2 or 3 weeks now and I harvest my coop every freakin' day and I haven't had any mystery eggs at all. Am I doing something wrong?
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoWill I have to pay Microsoft to fix Xbox 360 E74 error?
I have an Elite with an E74 error. I bought it off someone else off of Craigslist a few months back so I didn't know if it was still under warranty, but the website said it had expired. Before I sent my 360 in for repair, the website gave me an option of what was wrong with my Xbox (RROD, one red light, E74, etc.) with a total cost of repairs at the bottom of the screen depending on which one I chose. I had the E74 screen, but I also had one red light. If I chose the "one red light" option, the total said $99, but if I chose "E74" it said $0. So I chose E74 (that's what was wrong anyway.) They already have it now and the repair is in progress, but now I'm getting paranoid that they're going to bill me or something after they're finished. Will I have to pay them anything?
1 AnswerXbox1 decade agoScabby dog skin advice?
My husband and I adopted a severly neglected female Pitbull/Rottweiler mix yesterday. She was left outside for months and her skin was horribly flea bitten and now extremely scabby and itchy. (She does not have fleas anymore.) We can't get her into the vet until next week, but she seems really itchy and uncomfortable. Is there anything I can put on her skin in the meantime to ease her itching?
2 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHow do I make friends on Xbox Live?
Does anyone know of a Xbox Live meeting place or something? Everyone kicks me out right when I join a game on Left 4 Dead. :(
My husband and I love playing "versus," but everyone hates us, heh. Does anyone want to be friends?! We play Halo 3 sometimes, too, but everyone on there seems really "I'm so much better than you, eff off." Where are all the people that just want to play and have good times?!
14 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoMy computer won't run my browsers?
My laptop runs Windows Vista, it's less than a year old. I tried to open Firefox and it wouldn't open (it said that it had crashed every time I tried to open it). After many attempts and restarts, I uninstalled it thinking I could just reinstall it and it would be fixed. But then when I tried to open Explorer to reinstall Firefox, that won't open either. After a fresh restart, the Explorer window opens for a second and then it says there is an error and it needs to close. Then if I try to open it again, it pops up for a second and then disappears. It runs all other programs fine, just no internet browsers. Right before the problem, I uninstalled McAfee from my system...perhaps that has something to do with it?
I also tried to do a system restore, but it says that there was an error restoring the disk and doesn't do it. Please help, I can't use my husband's computer forever, I go to school online!
Thanks.
3 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoHow do I get more pets on Sims 2 Pets?
I've been adopting over the phone, and now the agency doesn't have any more pets. I want a puppy/kitten and the stores only have adult pets. How do I get more? Should the agency be replenishing itself? This is the PC game.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agoCool name for our new puppy?
We're having a hard time coming up with a name for our puppy...we want something funky and different, even funny is good. The more unique the better. We actually are gravitating more toward food names (if you haven't noticed!)
Our favorite names right now are Beans, Spoons, and Chowder, but we're holding out for something better. Any ideas?!
13 AnswersDogs1 decade agoAny last minute "new puppy" tips for primarily cat household?
My husband and I are going to pick up our baby tonight. He's an eight week old Redbone Coonhound/Rottweiler mix. We have never "owned" a dog as adults (never been pack leaders), we both had small breed dogs as children. We have been cat people until now. We are very excited to bring him home, and have read up on his breed mixes. I also have "Puppy training for Dummies" that I plan to read the whole way on the 2 hour trip tonight to get him. We're just a little nervous about the chaos that may ensue, as we have a very multi-cat family including a kitten that has been making us crazy with her peeing on our couch and pooping on our curtains lately. I guess I'm just looking for some words of encouragement or any tips anyone may have.
Thanks!
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoAre aquariums bad for hamsters?
Upon searching for a rat rescue to adopt a rat from, my wife and I came upon a small animal rescue and while reading the description we found this sentence "I do not keep my animals in aquariums, as it causes respiratory problems." I know that it's said that cedar/pine/wood bedding causes respiratory problems, so we switched to Carefresh (paper based), but is the aquarium itself bad too?!
6 AnswersRodents1 decade agoWhat's causing my tooth pain?
One of my incisors has been killing me for the last three or four days. Sometimes it's a sharp, stabbing pain, other times it's a dull ache. It hurts when I chew and it's sensitive to cold. I also noticed that my gum right above it is slightly purple. I don't have dental insurance right now, or else I would go to the dentist. I brush and floss everyday, so I don't think it's a cavity...but I've never had one before so I don't know what it feels like. Any idea what that might be?
