  • skipping feedings in a newborn?

My 8 day old has suddenly decided not to latch on the last two days. I am doing all I can to get her to wake up for feedings every 3 hours. Most of the time I have just ended up trying for a long time with no success to get her to latch, so I pump and feed her the pumped milk by syringe. Is it okay to skip a feeding in a newborn as long as I still get up to pump every 2 to 3 hours?

  • How to repair my wood fence?

I have a wood fence that is coming apart at the brackets between each panel of wood. The wood is in good shape. I think if I just try to screw the wood to the brackets again it wouldn't quite fit, like the fence has separated. How do I repair this?

  • Specific mid-priced wine suggestions?

I would like a few specific recommendations for good mid-priced wines. I am hoping someone will be able to tell me specific names, types, and years to look for.

I prefer sweeter wines, but not too sweet. I'd like both red and white and the more unusual the better. Thanks!

  • Wine and Cheese Party Suggestions?

I am having a wine and cheese party in a few weeks. We've asked everyone to bring a bottle of wine with them. We also want to provide some wine for the guests, but I want to get a few bottles that are more unusual. Could you suggest a few good wines that are unusual? I'm assuming my guests with bring the usual wines like pinot noir, reisling, etc. Also, which cheeses would you recommend?

  • Dave Ramsey followers... help! Car selling question!?

I am just about done reading The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. I think his ideas are great and I want to follow the baby steps. I have the $1,000 emergency fund in place, but when it comes to the debt snowball I am a little stuck. I currently own a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. I owe $11,000 on it. I am not opposed to selling it, but they are only selling for $9,500 to $10,000 in my area. So I would take a $1000 to $1500 loss by selling it. Also, if I did sell the vehicle, I would definitely need another one ASAP..... since I only have the $1,000 emergency fund for savings, how would I purchase the replacement vehicle?

  • What's the difference between these kitchen knife sets?

I have been looking to get some new kitchen knives. I have found that you should look for a high carbon stainless steel and a full tang. I found two sets on sale at my local Herberger's. The first set comes with more pieces, but is less expensive... can anyone see a reason that the second set would be more expensive?

    Set 1:

    Set 2:

Here's the third set I'm also considering:

  • Has anyone ever bought "The Big One" Towels at Kohls?

I am thinking about buying "The Big One" towels at Kohl's for a christmas gift. If you've owned these towels - Did the color fade quickly with washing? Did the hem stay together for a long time? Did they give off a lot of fuzz at first? Overall, what did you like or dislike about these towels? Would you buy them again?
