1 AnswerOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoDoubts regarding Hinduism......read below.....and answer.....?
Is the total number of souls in the universe constant? (regardless of forms taken, e.g. man, ant, etc.) We say that souls are reborn and only form is changed. Hence the question.
At which level life does not have souls? e.g. do germs have souls, are those souls reborn?
Are there souls on other planets, galaxies?
Do inanimate things have souls? e.g stones, water particles.
Do plants and trees have souls?
If plants have souls, does each individual paddy plant have a soul? Or does each individual paddy seed have a soul, since it is capable of becoming a plant?.
Do atoms have souls? Yes or no?
Does God care about maintaining the total number of souls, or he does not care?
I would be thankful for some light on these doubts. (These are sincere doubts. I am a HIndu. the purpose is to understand and not to malign. Please share your knowledge).
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat is really wrong with the US economy?
I have this doubt. I have always thought that the US is becoming a saturated economy - what I mean is that everybody has everything, or in fact more of everything (like 2 cars per person, etc). In such a case, over a period of time annual production figures are bound to decline and growth rates are bound to decline. It may also become negative which economists call as recession. But, if people have everything where is the concern? What is wrong with a negative growth rate or less production? (Compare this with a country like India - where many people do not have cars, TV, houses and so many other things - in such a country, there is tremendous capacity to produce more. Such countries will definitely show good growth percentages).
As far as unemployment is concerned, this is bound to happen - a. due to less production needs b. due to ever increasing automation. The government or the people or economists or media cannot say they are surprised by this. The government just needs to develop some mechanism to distribute jobs evenly.
Then they say there is lot of debt - in a debt situation person X is lending to person Y - which means X has transferred his purchasing power to Y - this is within the system - how it can topple the economy - X has acquired the purchasing power by putting his efforts to production. He is just transferring the purchasing power to Y.
So, where is the need to be surprised? Or act as if something unforeseen has happened? Or the need to blame this president or somebody else? May be I am missing something somewhere. Can somebody throw some light on this for me?
14 AnswersEconomics1 decade agoIf dinosaurs became extinct due to meteor collision, how did other species survive?
They say dinosaurs died due to meteor collision. If so, how did the other species survive? Were there some unaffected parts of the earth? Were there some species in those unaffected parts of earth? Does it mean that some species became extinct along with the dinosaurs and we have only the leftover species? Or did all species die and evolution started all over? Can some one explain this?
