If the argument is that nothing so complex can exist without a creator, how does something?
as complicated as a creator exist without a creator, and if that's the case, where is the super god who made the baby god who made the universe and if that god exists, didn't there need to be a super super god to make the super god to make the baby god to make the universe??????
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoI'm hearing a lot of complaining regarding the history?
of the European occupation of North America, and the violence and slavery that followed. I noticed a lot of people seem to think that the caucasians (European whites, anyway), are the only group that ever used those tactics. Except for Antarctica, genocide, and slavery, has taken place on all continents, and has been a multiracial endeavor. There are places where one tribe will hack another to pieces with machete's, women and children and invalid and old and pregnant and whatever. The Japanese enslaved the females of countries that they took by force and used them as portable sex slaves for their soldiers. It's also important to remember who was rounding up the tribes in Africa for sale to the slave traders. There were South American tribes that performed human sacrifice, and used the humans from enemy tribes. Question is, do you think we spend too much time on the evils of the past, and that the anger as a result doesn't let us get past the moronic mindset that is racism, and does it make any sense to whine about what has gone before? Do you think, too, that we misuse the term racism for every instance of ethnic bigotry? The Spanish, after all, were Europeans, and racially the same as the French or Italians or Germans. Thoughts? Insights? (If you plan to simply attack the question, just move on to the next one).
3 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoNo wonder the republicans fought so hard. What do you make of this?
The Center for Public Integrity, a nonpartisan watchdog group, conducted an analysis of the pressure applied to politicians during the health care debate and found that 1,750 companies and organizations hired an army of 4,525 lobbyists and spent a jaw-dropping $1.2 billion in lobbying funds to make sure the bill didn't go against their interests. And some of that money is going straight to politicians.
9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy do you suppose the people who rise to leadership never matured past 6th grade?
What I'm asking is why do the people we put in charge handle things the same way they handled them when they were 11 or 12? Subtle differences include launching missiles instead of throwing rocks, attacking beliefs instead of hairstyles or clothes, wanting nukes because everyone else has them instead of those BB shoes. I can hear Tony Blair now, "but George gets to invade Iraq, I want to invade Iraq too!" It makes me sick. The best thing that could happen in the world today would be for it's leaders to grow up (or) for us to select those that have. When you look at dramatic and long suffered people like Nelson Mandela and the things they sacrificed to let the world grow into a tolerant and peaceful place, you cannot help but question the powers that be on their "maturity".
