I personally have come to a conclusion re Religion and that is that it is primarily targeted at the POOR of the flock. Unfortunately I was raised as a Catholic :).

Of course they need to keep their Holy building standing so I think that would require _some_ form of payment or what have you so they obviously need a revenue stream to pay for that...

As well, they need to pay for their employees as well right? The priests and nuns and maintenance crew etc?
