1 AnswerMarriage & Divorce8 years agoInterstate adoption within the family?
Okay. So my cousin fell into drug use after a rough divorce. Now he is willingly giving up his kids. My husband and i want to adopt the youngest child. The other children have already been placed in different homes. What is the process of adopting within family? And we are not in the same state, how does it work? Where do we start?
1 AnswerAdoption8 years agoVery wobbly and unstable 15 month old.?
I know it's normal for toddlers to be wobbly when learning to walk but my son started walking at 10 1/2 months. He's very active. And even though he's been on his feet for 4 months he still trips over nothing, hits his head on everything and can't seem to turn without falling. His doctor checked his ears at his one year apt but said he looked fine. He had the flu last month. Worried something might be wrong with his ears now. Or even his vision. He goes to see his doctor again soon. Any suggestions?
1 AnswerToddler & Preschooler8 years agoTaking in Too much water?

3 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoCan a dog turn aggressive towards a pregnancy?
I have two boys. Am now expecting third, very early in preg. My MIL moved in a little over a year ago with her english bulldog. The dog gets along great with my two boys, she's very gentle with my 1 year old. But the last few weeks i feel like she's turning on me. If I enter a room she's in she runs right to my feet growling, even attempting to jump on me. She stays right at my feet and gets very defensive against me. She never showed any of this towards me before, just recently. Could she be "angry" about the pregnancy? What should I do?
5 AnswersDogs8 years agonatural way to strip out hair color?
I'm a natural blonde. I have been dying my hair a reddish color for many years (6+). In a few weeks I'm planning on getting it back to the natural blonde (maybe a few shades lighter), but I want to know if there is anything i can do to help naturally start stripping my hair of the red? I haven't dyed it in at least 6-7 weeks.
3 AnswersHair9 years agoDepo provera shot symptoms?
I've had the shot twice and am about to go for my third. so far so good. We've had sex regularly (only once without a condom) and so far no more babies :) But in the last month i've started gaining weight (which my doc said might happen) and then started getting nausea all the time, feeling dehydrated even tho im drinking 4-5 water bottle a day, and peeing non stop. I'm also eating a lot and craving certain foods. My question is are pregnancy-like symptoms possible on the shot or should i be worried?
P.S. : It's been about 7-8 weeks since we had sex with no condom.
1 AnswerWomen's Health9 years agodepo provera shot working?
So in november 2011 i delivered my second child. 6 weeks later (december 12th) i got my first depo provera shot and ten days later got my first period since my delivery (it was extremely heavy and lasted a very long time.....sorry for the details) and now 5 weeks later (january 22nd) i still havent gotten another period. I know your periods are supposed to eventually lighten and disappear but should they disappear this soon?
On a side note i've been nauseas, dizzy and light headed. I figured these were symptoms of the birth control shot but very unsure.
1 AnswerWomen's Health9 years agoflying while pregnant?
I am 20 weeks pregnant, and around 12 weeks had some bleeding that my doctor said was caused by a blood clot in the uterus. The baby has been growing very healthy and strong. But my last ultrasound showed that there was still blood in there and they said there will probably be bleeding in the pregnancy later. But for the last few weeks i've been feeling great and there hasn't been any bleeding or anything. What i want to know is, is it safe for me to fly. I wouldt be flying until 24 weeks though. I have an appt before then and plan on asking the doctor but would like to know from other people who might have been through this.
1 AnswerPregnancy10 years ago15 weeks gender certainty?
I had an elective ultrasound done at 15 weeks out of curiosity of the gender. From what i could see the baby had it's legs crossed the whole time. The u/s tech swears it's a boy (and I'll be happy either way) but i didn't see anything specifically pointing towards "I'm a boy!". But I'm wondering if anyone has ever been told boy that early and ended up with a girl?
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoLooking for a middle name for Alice...?
Expecting a girl. We love the name Alice but need a middle name. We have a short last name ( that starts with C) so would prefer a longer middle. And were thinking a middle name that starts with J. But we have seen so many names in the last few weeks that we can't think straight. Anyone else have suggestions? And we are open to middle names that don't start with J.
14 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoPossible miscarriage?
I'm 13 weeks pregnant and two days ago I was in the er for heavy bleeding. Only lasted like 6 hrs then finally stopped. They did an ultrasound and said baby was still ok, but that it might be the beginning of a miscarriage. i didn't think much about it, but tried to relax a lot more the next day. But this morning when I went to the bathroom I think I might have found my mucus plug (dark red/brown snot looking) and it was quite a lot. Could this possibly be the miscarriage the er was talking about?
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoseeing the baby's gender at the NT scan...?
I have heard of people going in for there NT scan around 13-15 weeks and getting a clear toilet seat shot. Has anyone ever got one and had the gender be REALLY obvious? was it correct? I'm getting my scan at 13 weeks and I know the scan for gender isnt accurate until closer to 20 weeks but I'm just curious.
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago2nd pregnancy and gallstones?
I just found out I am 9 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. But also found out I have gallstones. They don't want to remove the gallbladder until after the pregnancy, but the ob-gyn was talking about possibly having to induce me for my health and the baby's safety. Has anyone else gone through this? How early did they induce you? did you have a gallbladder attack before they induced? Im just nervous about going through this pregnancy because the pain with my first was terrible and kicked in around 24 weeks.

1 AnswerNewborn & Baby1 decade agoMy 14 month old doesn't talk?
I know every child develops differently....I get that. But my 14 month old doesn't say any words at all. He screams "ma ma ma" when he's crying, but he never started saying "up", "ba-ba", "da-da" or any others. He makes his needs known by pointing or grabbing the things he needs and babbles a lot of gibberish but not even one word yet.I read to him every night and point things out and repeat the names of things to him. Has anybody else's toddler done this? If so when did you toddler start saying (and associating) words clearly? What we're their first words? And what can i do to encourage him to start trying new words?
4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoUnusually short period?
I have a one year old son and ever since he was born my periods have been 7 or more days long and extremely heavy (sucks but whatever) and anywhere from 28-30 days apart. Things are just starting to get closer to normal and then this month I went 37 days without a period. I have had quite a few dizzy spells, trouble sleeping, feeling sick, hungry all the time and always have to pee. I thought I was pregnant again but when I got it, it was regular one the first day and then really light the second day and gone by that night. I'm a little unsure about why it would be so short though. My husband and I did have unprotected sex a couple times this past month. But the last pregnancy test I took (the day before my period) was negative. Should I take another test? What are the chances I'm pregnant?
1 AnswerPregnancy1 decade agoHow did you know your marriage was over?
I've been married for almost two years, we have a one year old that we love to amazing extent. I feel like my marriage has already lost all intimacy. I've caught my husband once talking to other girls about sexual matters. We fought about it and it never happened again (that I know of). But what I want to know is, for those that are divorced or separated, how did you know it was time to break it off? did you just leave or did it end because of fighting or with serving papers? What about the kid(s)? How did you decide whats best?
11 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoPeriod skipping a day?
My period was a week and half late (11 days late), HPT were negative. When it finally started it was very very heavy (much heavier than I've ever experienced). It went on like this for 3 days, then suddenly stopped for 24 hrs (no bleeding, no spotting no cramps, nothing). then came back for 2 more days. No that's it over I have been cramping for about 2 days. Anyone ever had their period just skip a day in the middle??
5 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoAnother baby already?
I have a beautiful, healthy, happy 7.5 month old baby boy and love him more than anything. But is it weird that I'm already thinking about having another one? I want my kid to be close in age, but feel like I'm some baby crazed weirdo for wanting another one too soon.
