  • there is no reason to not believe in god?

god exists or he does not exist, and laying the odds there is no reason to not believe in god.

    1. if i wage for and god is - infinite gain

    2. if i wage for and god is not - no loss

    3. if i wage against and god is - infinite loss

    4. if i wage against and god is not - neither loss nor gain

thus the only logical conclusion is to wager for god, for every other outcome is either no loss or negative

  • why is Hanukkah a Jewish celebration and not a catholic or eastern Orthodox celebration?

the story behind Hanukkah is in the Apocrypha which is not in the Hebrew bible and is not recognized as legitimate religious writings by the Jews, however the Apocrypha is in the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox bibles. so why is Hanukkah celebrated by the Jews who don't recognize the writings the celebration comes from as legitimate and not the Catholics or the Orthodox who do recognize the writings and story as legitimate

  • aliens love and protect us?

60 years ago they sent their representatives to Roswell, to show us the way to live. And we killed them.

But the aliens forgave us. Still to this day, they remain with us here on earth. through their powers of telepathy they can hear your thoughts. all you have to do is love them, and think about them, and a millisecond before you die, they will teleport you to their ships, and you will live forever with them in happiness.

  • should i tell my girlfriend i love her?

i've been dating this girl for 4 and a half months now and haven't told her that i love her yet. she's leaving for a month long vacation to england this friday and i was wondering if i should tell her that i love her when i'm seeing her off for her flight, or if i should wait till sometime after she gets back. cause i do love her, she means more to me than anything. my reserve in telling her is that i don't want to rush things, i think we could really have something special and i don't want to mess things up by rushing it to much. would this be rushing it to much?
