Any suggestions for cleaning a glass shower stall?
I've tried comet, scrubbing bubbles, CLR and anything on the label that says lime or hard water stains removal. Nothing seems to get that off. There is just this "etched" look to the glass. Any suggestions? I was thinking of just hiring a maid service to use it as I assume they would use more commercial strength chemicals but I wanted to give it one last go before I totally give up. Thanks!
12 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoAt what age to toddlers stop teething?
My little one is 21 mo old is still going through the fever/doesnt want to eat phase. He has always really been good at teething since he was a baby but lately it seems that since he has been past 18 mo, he gets more worn down from it. I have been giving him Tylenol every 4 hours and ambesol to ease the pain. He has a vibrating thing that helps his gums too. Any other suggestions and when did your little one stop this horrible ordeal for both the them and you?
Thanks!
10 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoOk, so I have moved my 20 mo old to the toddler bed as many of you suggested....?
after he crawled in and out on his own. He has been doing great at night time since its not light enough in the house to allow him to wander, but now how do I keep him in his bed during the day for naps? He is currently in his room crying because I have shut the door and it has one of those doorknobs babies cant turn on it so he cant get out. I just keep telling myself, its like putting him in the crib and letting him cry until he falls asleep. Is this ok or do you suggest something else? Yesterday he didnt even take a nap because he just sat in there and played and cried every now and then. I can hear what he is doing on the baby monitor so its not like he can implode or start a fire in there. But I still feel guilty. HELP
12 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoIs it time to to move my little one to a toddler bed?
My little one is 20mo old. Yesterday I heard him laughing up a storm in his bedroom. I thought he was laughing at the cat. I went in to find him INSIDE his crib. He just thought that was the funniest thing! So, I asked him if he could get down. So then he proceded to get out of the crib. His head got bonked a little on the way down, but it didnt seem to bother him. Is it time to switch him to a toddler bed? His crib is already as low as it can go with no bumpers or anything inside to aid him crawling out. We have one of those convertible kind.
Thanks!
7 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoShould I be concerned about my 19 1/2 mo old not talking?
My little one has not started to "officially" talk yet. Should I be concerned? When did your little one begin talking?
Our pediatrician suggested a neurologist who suggested an EEG (which came out normal) and we are due to get an MRI and hearing test next week. Is this going overboard or is this the right thing to do since he isnt talking. He understands what we tell him and learns really quickly I feel but he just doesnt say anything. He can say up and then occasionally will say a series of words (one at a time) but only maybe once a week at most. Any suggestions would really help.
Also the neurologist says it "might" be very mild autism but we dont want to think about that one, since my husband and I feel (along with our family) that he is just not in that spectrum and we hope.
Thanks!
14 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoWhat is it like living in Katy, Texas?
We might be moving to Katy, Texas and I need to know what the area is like. I am from Fort Worth and people are so nice here. What are the people like? Are there great schools for preschool age children? Places to shop? Etc.
Thanks!
4 AnswersHouston1 decade agoDoes anyone have information on Very mild Autism?
My child may possibly have very mild autism and will be doing a lot of brain work in the next few weeks which include an EEG and MRI. The doctor feels he is at the very mild side of the Austism spectrum if not just a "late bloomer". Any advice or information would be great if you have experienced this. Thanks!
3 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoEnrollment at Primrose Schools?
I was just curious without having to embarrass myself with touring a local Primrose school, how much do they usually run? I have a 19mo old and feel he needs to interact with more children his age and older. Does anyone have a child enrolled and how much does it run? Thanks!
1 AnswerPreschool1 decade agoSuch thing as a rear-facing mirror for infant and one for forward facing at once?
I am looking for a mirror to prop next to my rearview mirror that I can see both my newborn who will be rear-facing (due May 20th) and my toddler who is already forward facing without having to take my eyes away from forward facing at the road. Is there a such thing? I have one of those small mirrors that I use next to my car rear-view mirror to see my toddler, but I actually tried to look at my infant seat today while driving and had to crane my neck and stare. Any ideas? Thanks!
