Our building has 6 units. Some of the other tennants make huge messes. The landlords only come a couple times a month (once of course for rent) and vaccuum front entrance area, do nothing unless really bad to the tile back area (they used to mop it), empty most of the garbage and that's about it which isn't enough. They do nothing about the bushes in front which have garbage bycycles and cigarette butts in them. The plastic trim in the ground for the rocks is pulled up in places and most of the rocks are now missing. And the bushes have not been properly trimmed since we moved here in 2001. They only trimmed a small section when we complained we could hardly get up the walkway to the door. In other words it's awful and just plain embarassing to have people come over.

What can we do about it? We have talked with them, and they say that they don't have the time or money. I have offered to help and I do some little things but I wont do it for free.

Any suggestions?

I made some soup earlier this week, and would like to have it but don't know if taking the meat out is enough. Is it still as if I am eating meat?

I recently read that Hilary Clinton, if elected, wants to make health insurance manditory for all americans. I frankly do not know what I would do if this happens. I have pre-existing conditions which makes me "uninsurable" in the eyes of the insurance companies. They won't touch me with a ten foot poll. And I have tried. Is she going to insist that my husband get a different job and hope that the open enrollment will take me. Or that I get a full time job for coverage (again, hoping that I would get coverage) and pay most of a paycheck not only to insurance but to have someone else take care of my son, who has his own developmental issues.

Please tell me if I am looking at this all wrong or if there would be a simpler solution if she does get elected.
