I lost my insurance when I turned 21. I am now 22, and I keep hearing rumors that I can be on my fathers insurance until I'm 26.

Is this true? If so, how much would I have to pay?

I need hip surgery and I can't afford to pay it on my own. :(

I was recently fired from my job for what I, and pretty much everyone else for that matter, thinks is a ridiculous reason.

Anyway, here's an overview of my situation:

It's an independently owned pizza restaurant that I had worked at for just under five years. For the past year or two I had been a manager.

A few months ago I decided to put in an application to another job and forgot about it. A little while later they called me for an interview. I told my employer about this the day I found out I had an interview. I ended up getting the job, and I let them know immediately.

I had no intention of quitting my job at the pizza restaurant I just wanted to be cut back a few days. I didn't even start working at my new job until about a month after I was hired. By then they hadn't found any way to let me cut back on hours so for the first two weeks at my new job that I worked 8-5 I also worked my normal shifts at my first job. So because of the fact that they didn't find anyone to relieve me after almost a month of notice I had to work two full time jobs.

By the third week I had to go to a neighboring city to train. I had given the pizza restaurant my training schedule the moment I got it. Going to the next city over required me to wake up at four in the morning just to be able to make it to work at 5:30. By the time I got off work there I had to immediately drive home for my next job. Fortunately though they had roughly thrown together a temporary solution and I didn't have to work my normal shifts for that week at the pizza restaurant. I was also told that the only reason I had to work that week was because someone else was out of town.

I didn't want to work another day that required me to be up at 4 to drive to the next town to work just to drive back just in time to work again until 11 or midnight. Especially having to wake up at four again the next morning. So I marked the entire week off of work, seeing as how I was told I didn't really have to work that week. I let them all know that after my training was done I'd go back to my normal hours and just work both jobs again.

So I decided that I would actually like to have a couple days the next week a few days before our schedules were made at the pizza restaurant so I gave my manager a call. I was told they were busy and they'd call me back. Several hours went by and I didn't get a call so I decided to send him a text telling him that I would, in fact, like shifts the next week.

In response to that I get a text message saying something along the lines of "Due to your scheduling requirements we were forced to hire someone to replace you. You no longer have to work here from this day forward. Return all keys and shirts you have if you want your paycheck"

I thought it was a joke, so I asked as such, but sure enough he was serious.

I know nothing about the legal system, but I've had a number of people say that it's illegal to fire someone through a text message.

Even if I can't take legal action, is there some way I can report such a rude action?

I live in Florida by the way.

I'm going to be buying one in the near future, and I'm more or less terrified of getting one that's MIC.

How can I tell what country it's made in?

Also, while on that note, are there any other countries to avoid getting a guitar from?

Whenever I got a waffle maker a year or so ago I tried making waffles from scratch. I followed the recipe word for word, but they ended up coming out tasting like eggs. From then on I just used mix from a box, such as Bisquick.

Whenever I make taiyaki, more or less a waffle in fish shape, but with filling, I also use Bisquick, and they come out tasting fine, but I can't help but think that it would be so much better if I made them from scratch.

So I recently found a simple enough recipe online and followed it step by step. The taiyaki came out looking amazing, but they tasted like egg! Egg with chocolate filling! It was terrible.

I'm starting to get discouraged in baking anything from scratch again!

I'm considering just using banana as a substitute. I have vegan friends, so I bake like that all the time, but I don't always want my baked goods to have a banana flavor. So I'd like to get to the bottom of this whole egg taste thing.

I'm around 5'11"-6'0" and my spare bike is obviously too small. According to size charts a 60cm bike is for people up to 6'3". So I was thinking maybe getting a 63cm frame, but I'm not positive. I'd hate for him to end up buying the wrong size.

I'm converting my bike to a fixed gear, and I need a wheel set. I'd like there to be a choice in color. I'd like to only spend around $150 if at all possible.

My alternator decided to crap out on me, and I can't afford the steep $279 prices of Auto Zone. Also, I'm pretty much illiterate when it comes to cars, so I really have no idea what to even look for. All I really want is an alternator that will fit my car and work, for as little money as possible. Installation isn't an issue, just finding one for cheap.

I have an Asus U81 running on Windows Vista Home Premium.

When I close it, it goes into hibernation or whatever it's called. I'm not quite sure. Basically, if I just close my laptop, when I go resume it takes a while to come back. It has a loading bar and says "Resuming Windows..."

Alternatively, if I tap the power button, it just puts it in a sort of light sleep. So when I go to resume using my computer, it's right at the user screen.

Is it possible to set it up to where it does the second kind of sleep I described whenever I just close my laptop? It's nuisance having to worry about tapping the power button every time I want to close it.

I have a 2001 Volkswagen GTI VR6. With gas prices on the rise, and all my friends complaining how they hate paying a steep gas price that happens to be twenty cents less than what I pay. I must admit. I'm a little envious. Would it be bad to start using unleaded, even though the inside panel of my gas tank door clearly states "premium fuel only"?

So I'm assuming it's some sort of insult.

I tried using Babel Fish, but the translation didn't make much sense. It came out as "Where it digs this it?"

I'm about to repaint my road bike with spray paint. Probably a lime green color. How important are the base coats towards the outward appearance? I figure some thing to the extent that a darker base coat would make the lime green look a bit dull, but that's all speculation.

I vaguely remember this NES game I loved to play when I was four or five, but I could never even complete the first level. All I really remember is that your character could stretch, or maybe his shoes elevated, or something, but you could raise yourself up into the level grabbing onto platforms and such and pulling yourself up. I remember it being a flamboyantly colored game, but other than those two factors I can not remember this game at all. I've been trying to find it again basically all my life, and have thus far come up empty handed.

I recently saw My Bloody Valentine 3D, and afterward I was very anxious to get on my computer and have images jump out at me, but to my disappointment, no images I have looked up work. I have tried polarized and red/blue images, but neither have worked. So I was wondering, what kind of 3D images do RealD 3D glasses work on?
