  • In Indian restaurants in the UK, you are often served a dark tangy sauce with your Poppadoms, what is it?

It's dark and quite runny but it's also very tangy and a little spicy, I think there's probably chilli in it, but I can't be sure. It's definitely darker than sweet chilli

I've looked everywhere and I just can't find it. I know

    Thanks in advance

  • Bottom Deal Help - Card Tricks?

I've been practising the bottom deal for a couple of months now and I'm just not making any progress. I'm using the standard mechanics grip and everything I've read keeps telling me it should be more of a cradle than a grip, but if I put no pressure on then I can never take just 1 card (usually 3-5 cards come with it) and if I put even the tiniest amount of pressure on the card will not come out at all.

I want to persist with the mechanics grip as it's the one I use when I handle cards regularly, but I need some advice for how to stop spilling the cards.

  • UK alcohol laws. Difference between parents giving alcohol to their kids and buying alcohol for their kids?

Right, so it's legal for parents to give any child over the age of 5 alcohol at their discretion. So what's the difference between a parent buying alcohol on behalf of their child (buying by proxy) and giving their children alcohol at their discretion.

Is buying by proxy only illegal if it's not your children?

FYI I am 18 and I'm not asking advice on how to flout the law. I just literally don't understand.

  • What happens if someone accidentally purchases stolen property? - UK law?

Basically my mountain bike was stolen, we found it later with some guy who said he bought it off some traveller. He didn't know it was stolen, but what is the law surrounding this? Do I simply claim my property back? Or is there a process here?

  • Sleeping with a girl who is still sort of in a relationship?

So I'm 19 and my best friend and I have been sleeping together. We've been really close over the past few months since her relationship has been breaking down and the guy she's been with for 19 months hasn't been speaking to her much and she never sees him and he basically puts her on the back burner.

Thing is I was there to comfort her and one thing led to another and that led to another. Now I'm confused and anxious and I don't know what to do. Is this really that wrong? She's going to break up with him soon and I don't know how I should act. Should we be close or should we carry on like nothing's happened? I need ideas. I really need some help here guys

    Cheers

  • Is it possible to prove that your reasoning is sound?

Is there any real way? I mean we can't use reasoning to prove our reasoning, since that is circular and requires the assumption our reasoning is sound.

Without the ability to reason can we make any arguments that our reasoning is sound?

We can't argue evolutionary, nor theologically, since they both require us to have reason to explain reason.

    Anyone?

  • Blood in stool - help?

I'm 17, and today rather suddenly, I had painful abdominal cramps, followed by diarrhoea. The pain went away and I thought that was the end of it, then this evening I had another bout of cramps with soft stool. When I saw the blood I was slightly alarmed, it's not a lot of blood, half-a-teaspoon is probably an exaggeration, but It's hard to tell.

I get that i should see a doctor, but I can't do that until Monday since they don't really do out-of-hours service

    Anyone able to help?

  • How to find a job as a teenager?

I'm 17, and I sort of need a job, I'm in the UK and I have no idea where to start. I don't really know anyone and I only live in a small town where the high street (if you could call it that) is dominated by 8 pubs, 6 charity shops and a bakery. In all honesty the town didn't fair that well in the recession, so now everyone gets drunk and gives all their possessions away. There is however a much larger town about 6 miles away which I can bus to. That still leaves the small matter of how in the name of God do you search for job vacancies that are part time, weekend or evening only and require no experience.

  • Hearts of Iron 3 - Make the game more casual?

I like the game, and sure if I have enough time I like to finish one, but the problem is this can take weeks as a casual gamer, so I was wondering if there was a more proficient method of modding the game so I could play casually and still have the ability to be immersed.

  • Nonsensical sayings - Examples?

I'm intrigued into any nonsensical sayings people have. For example I could care less, when what they really mean is I couldn't care less. And something like cheap at half the price, which doesn't make any sense when you're calling something cheap, since if it was half price, it would be even cheaper, so is irrelevant.

Something like "A stitch in time saves nine" it just badly punctuated, logically it makes sense when it is written "A stitch, in time, saves nine" But anyways thanks guys.

  • Why is Harry Potter & TDH Part 2 out in some countries like Australia, before it comes out in Britain?

Since it's a British film, and the original première was in London, surely it should have come out in England before other places like Australia and not the other way around.
