I have a two year old male long haired miniature dachshund and we are planning to adopt (rescue) a new dachshund puppy within the next couple of months. We will probably get another male. Both will be neutered.

What is the best way to bring the two together and encourage friendly interaction?

Knowing that I have to do it before the end of the week I am debating with myself over whether to tell her today so that she has at least one day advance notice of being unemployed, or if I should wait till Friday.

If I wait till Friday should I tell her in the morning or at the end of the day?

Which would be more fair for the employee?

Which makes more sense as a supervisor?

I am scheduled for surgery on Tuesday (in 2 days) - today I have a very sore throat and a fever.

About a month ago I had a mastectomy performed on my right breast and a tissue expander placed because the plan was to have an implant reconstruction.

About 2 weeks after the mastectomy I developed a severe staph infection in the surgical site. This resulted in an additional surgery to remove the expander implant and close the breast site back up. I was in the hospital for 4 days on IV antibiotics and back home for a week on oral antibiotics to kill the infection.

Now it appears that the infection is gone. But we have to start over sometime soon on the reconstruction.

Because of the complications it is riskier for me to now do the same reconstruction I had planned (expander and implant).

My options are to do the TRAM flap (tummy muscle and tissue) or the flap procedure where they take muscle, tissue and skin from the back. I can do the back flap with or without an implant.

My question is:

Has anyone here been in this situation? What did you do? What WOULD you do if it were you?

My 13 lb mini dachshund just accidentally got ahold of a mini-Orea cookie. Mini Oreos are VERY tiny.

Should we be concerned?

Which one do you trust and why?

All of a sudden the display on my computer monitor is much larger than it was before.

The screen saver was on and when I moved the mouse to bring back the desktop the screen went black for a moment and then when it came back was displaying larger icons and all programs are taking up much more space on the screen.

I have checked all the display settings, I have restarted the computer, I have turned the monitor off and back on. I have shut down the whole system, let it sit for 5 minutes and then turned it all back on. No change.

Any ideas?

... that He is asking more of you than he's paying you for. The last person who did my position did it for the same money, but I do it in less time and more accurately. But, rather than offer me a raise or think about reducing my hours because of this- my boss just keeps giving me more to do. He tells me how much he appreciates it... but frankly, I don't work for the appreciation.

He is a very high strung person and does not handle change well - so Im just not sure how to approach him and explain that I think he's taking advantage of the fact that I am better at this job than his last manager was.... and giving me more and more to do... without compensating me for it.

Suggestions?

I know nothing about the authors of any of them. Nor have I read any reviews of the books themselves. I just grabbed these 3 at Borders today off the sale table because I needed something new to read this week.

I can't get my 360 home page or webpage to come up. It was up earlier and I was writing a blog entry - when I previewed it I got a "page cannot be displayed" error and now I can't get to my page at all.
