Optimized set up for photoshop?
I'm looking to get a new computer (PC), mainly for photo editing with photoshop (professional photography, very large, high-resolution images). I'm looking for some suggestions for an optimized setup for such use.
5 AnswersPhotography6 years agoFullscreen apps and multi-monitor systems?
I recently set up a dual-monitor system on my home computer, but there's a problem. If I'm using an application in full-screen mode on one monitor and I click on a window in the other, the full-screened application will minimize (or be taken out of fullscreen mode, depending on what it is). Is there a way to avoid this and have such applications continue to run fullscreen in it's monitor while I use another?
I'm using a PC with Vista, with an nVidia GeForce 3600 card.
1 AnswerMonitors1 decade agoIf you could choose your own god...?
This question is mainly for atheists, though all you religious folks out there can feel free to answer if you can get past the premise. If you could create a god for humans - what would it be like? Would it have created the universe, or the Earth - or come after? How powerful would you make this being, and what sort of goals would it have? Would there be an afterlife and anything analogous to a soul? Feel free to add any details you like.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoQuestion for all the drummers out there?
I want to start by saying that I don't assume that what I'm doing is really the same as playing drums "for real" but I want to get as close as I can. I am trying to set up my Rock Band 2 premium drum kit to mimic as closely as possible an electronic setup that would be used by a professional (www.drumrocker.com for the description of the kit). I would like some help as to where to set up the cymbal pads (which are mapped to one ride, a high hat, and one crash) so as to be as realistic as possible.
1 AnswerRock and Pop1 decade agoBurley Canto Recumbent chain grease problem?
Anybody else there have a Burley Canto recumbent? I just got one used, and I love it, it's so comfortable compared to a diamond frame, but I have just one problem, the exposed chain keeps catching my pants and leaving grease all over them no matter how hard I try to tie them back, does anyone have a good solution for this?
5 AnswersCycling1 decade agoWhat would it take?
This is for believers of any religion, especially those who believe in creationism. What would it take to convince you that there is no god or even that god is not necessary to explain how life came to be as it is today on the Earth? What would it take for you to accept evolution as correct? Is there anything at all, any hypothetical situation under which you would change your mind about your beliefs?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoRecumbent bike?
I'm a commuter cyclist who bikes about 15-16 miles daily to work and back. It's basically all roads and paved trails, and I live in the pacific northwest, so it's raining much of the year. I've been doing this with my diamond-frame for about 6 months now and I'd like to switch to a recumbent, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what I should look for and what a good, solid, well-build model for this type of cycling would cost (any links with more information would also be appreciated).
