  • software for franchise location websites?

Hello, we are trying to find software that would enable us to have our franchise locations have their own mini website on our domain. For example, http://www.mydomain.com/locations/my-location-site - This would ideally be a fully functional CMS system (PHP preferred) that would allow them to manage their content but also let the administrator (us) manage as well and define a common template for all the locations to use. Any ideas would be appreciated here! Not sure where to start looking.

  • Best sprinkler rotors for use with lower pressure?

My sprinkler system was designed for use with the water pressure I had 2 years ago, since then more homes have been developed on my street and my water pressure has gone down slightly as a result. Now my rotor zone won't even come up, they are rainbird rotors and pretty much just spew out water because the pressure can't overcome to rise them all up.

What are THE BEST rotors to use at lower pressures? Unfortunately removing heads from the zone is not an option.

  • Capital Gains Loss on Non Publicly Traded Stock?

Can I write off a $3,000 per year loss on a stock that is not publicly traded, or is the cap gains loss limited to publicly traded assets? (Example: if I invested $10k in a privately held startup company that later went out of business). Also, how would I need to specify/write this on my loss on Schedule D if so (what to use for description of property, mainly)?

  • I am trying to sell a home in Mexico.. What are the best places to post online to sell a property in Cabo?

I don't want to list this with a realtor just yet, I wanted to know if anyone knew of any good classifieds sites or for sale by owner sites that cater to Mexico (specifically, Baja California Sur / Cabo San Lucas)

  • How close can I plant a tree to buried sprinkler lines?

I want to plant a mid-sized tree near the corner of my yard (full grown size is maybe 15' tall). The problem is there are a few buried irrigation lines right there. How far away should I plant from the lines? Will the roots interfere with them at all or will it only be a problem for the tree if I ever have to service the lines (cutting through roots, etc).

Would it be a problem to only plant it a foot or two away, or is there a minimum distance?

  • Sprinkler system poly pipe size - RainBird design question?

I got a design from RainBird for my backyard sprinkler system... I had a couple questions. I have a 3/4" supply line, but the current system that the landscaper put in for the front yard is using 1" poly pipe. Rainbird sent me a design with 2 zones on 1" poly and 3 on 3/4" poly. The two zones with 1" are actually smaller zones with a lot of heads to cover an odd shaped area and are about 9-10gpm flow rate. The 3 zones with 3/4" pipe are larger area zones with sprinkler heads that have greater coverage distances (15-25').

My questions are, can I run everything with 1" poly instead of mixing and matching? The current front yard is all 1" like I said, and I would rather be able to buy fittings and pipe in bulk rather than mix and match everything. Does the 3/4" pipe provide a higher pressure or something? I'm just wondering why they would mix it and why it even matters considering I have a 3/4" copper supply

  • What breed of cat from Friskies "Seafood Sensations" commercial?

The new Friskies "Seafood Sensations" cat food commercial shows a black and gray/silver cat with a distinct pattern.. not a regular tabby. Anyone know what breed this is? Hint: Don't say it's a Domestic Short Hair. That's a cop-out.

Not a great picture but it's something:

  • Something lodged / jammed under fingernail?

Ok get ready for this... kind of funny. I got a piece of pumpkin jammed under my fingernail.. Apparently when you throw a pumpkin into the dumpster and slip and your fingernail scrapes against it, a piece of the skin will slide right under your fingernail. Lovely eh? Anyway... wondering what to do about it. Tried pulling it out with tweezers and a needle but can't get it, just keeps breaking off. It's pretty far in, almost to the base of the nail.

Is it fine to leave it in there? I don't want to go to the hospital for this. It's kind of painful but that's not what I'm concerned about... would there be any problems with just leaving it be and removing it as the nail grows out? Will the nail re-attach?

  • Kitchen cabinet / backsplash design question - your opinion please?

Take a look at the following picture:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/77094332@N00/20525105...

Notice on the left side on the bar, the cabinets stop on top but the backsplash keeps running the length of the counter. I don't believe this is how it is supposed to be. What is your opinion?

    1) It is correct as is, backsplash should run entire length of granite

    2) It needs to be changed, there should be another cabinet on the end

    3) It needs to be changed, the backsplash should stop when the cabinets stop..

    Let me know, thanks.

  • Fantasy Football - Draft RB or QB first?

Common knowledge in fantasy football says normally you try to draft a running back first. But what if your league's scoring system is weighted towards QB? For example, if Peyton is projected to make 350 points for the season and LT is only projected to make 300 based on the scoring system, would it make more sense to draft Manning over LT? What strategies do you employ? Simply picking the player with the highest projected point total or getting stud RBs and/or WRs and a 2nd tier QB? I am 6th pick in the draft and I believe I'll either have a choice of someone like Alexander or Addai by then for RB or Manning/Palmer at QB for my 1st pick. Which would you do?
