  • Hotel Bathroom Confusions?

I'm looking for a hotel room in England, and the one I found in a B&B that I want to get says:

    *Bathtub

    *Shower

    *Bathtub/shower combination

    *Shared bathroom

    *Shared toilet

Does this mean that the room is en-suite (meaning that there's a private bathroom included with the room), as well as a shared one?

    Thanks!

  • Litha fire troubles? (Pagans ONLY)?

I'm a solitary practitioner of Wicca, and have just now attempted to do my first Litha Sabbat. Unfortunately, when I got to the part where I was to light the Litha fire (consisting of the herbs basil, camomile, lavender, carnation, mullein, rue, thyme, st. john's wort and vervain), the only thing that happened was that they smoldered in my cauldron. I put in some extra wood chips I was saving for Beltane and papers I didn't need anymore, but it didn't make a very big difference.

Can anyone tell me if they had any trouble with their Litha fire and how they fixed it?

    Blessed Litha!!!

  • Can anyone tell me this fairy tale?

I'm trying to find this one fairy tale that I really like but can't find. From what I can remember, it has a maid who steps in for the bride of a king's son. She gets a bit distracted during the procession, and is asked by the groom about it three times to which she answers. In the chambers, he asks the real bride about what the stand-in says and the bride asks the maid about it to answer him. In the end, the groom realizes that the maid was the one who was there.

I'm pretty sure it's a Grimm's story, but if it's not I'm open to suggestions.

    Thank you!

  • Wiccan Coven positions?

I'm planning to start up a local Coven when I get all my personal ceremonies together and I'm comfortable with them. What I'm wondering is, when I do start it up, what would that make me? A High Priestess or not? I ask because I'm trying to study the inner workings of a Coven (because I've only ever been Solitary) and nothing gives me a straight answer.

Thank you to whomever gives me the best answer.

  • Can someone help me find this book?

I read this book in middle school so I don't remember it all.

It's about this teen girl who's strange mother is kidnapped and taken to their "home country" which is in California, and all the inhabitants have the most amazing memories.

I believe the title is "Key to Memories" or something along those lines.

Thank you to whoever helps out!

  • What made Christianity so appealing?

Was it Constantinople's last minute conversion? The convert or be killed threat? What made it so widespread in the ancient world?

  • If I major in English, do I have to take it as a core?

I would like to major in English when I go off to college, so do I have to take it as a core alongside math, science and history?

  • Tree of Life connected to Platonic Solids?

I'm studying the Tree of Life, and the Platonic Solids and how they connect to the universe in Sacred Geometry. I'm trying to determine how the two connect to each other, because I know that they do as well as with Chakra, but I'm at a standstill. If there's anyone who can help me out with this, I'd be very grateful.

    Thanks!

  • What disease(s) or disorder(s) has this basis?

A story I'm writing has a 16-year-old girl who is sick. She can't travel very far, is always weak, the disease doesn't have a cure and presented itself when she was a young girl.

I was suggested MS, but I would like to have more options to put each through different circumstances so that I can pick the right one.

I'll accept any suggestion as long as it isn't cancer. There have been too many stories with cancer and I'm pretty tired of it.

    Thank you!

  • Can I take the GED test at 17?

I am not the best student. At all. I have Aspergers Syndrome, I'm in a special special ed class that really shouldn't even exist, I have lost faith that I will ever graduate normally this year and I cannot stand staying in that class anymore. I'm 17, the California Department of Education site says that I have to be 18, but can take the test under certain circumstances. Would this circumstance be enough for me to apply for the test and try to take it?

  • Can someone tell me what this product is called?

A few years ago, there was a commercial about a product that can press four good hamburger patties and cook them at the same time. I remember the man who was in the commercial was the guy from the cleaning products (possibly Resolve) with the really loud voice, but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called and internet searches are a bust. Could someone please help by giving me a link or telling me the product's name?

    Thank you!

  • For the Pagan or open minded: Thoughts about a fictional country?

I'm writing a story that takes place in a fictional country that was founded for persecuted Neo-Paganists called "Gaia", located at a fictional island in the Pacific Ocean between Japan and Hawaii, and has about as much land mass as Japan (with the other islands too). What I want to know is what you think the country should be like besides just the things that I just told you. Like the environment, currency, government, those things.

    Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

  • Blank profile for an original country?

I need a blank profile template for an original country in my story. If someone can make one for me, I'd be eternally grateful.

(You'd think with the internet so vast that there'd be at least one for this thing.)

  • A name for a male character?

I'm trying to create a male sort of pro/antagonist magical character for a fantasy story, but I can't find a good name for him. This is a description I'm writing up:

"He was a handsome person, with red copper hair that fell just above his modestly broad shoulders asymmetrically. The hair hanging over his slightly slanted yellow eyes, him standing tall and proud with a sort of controlled arrogance air about him in what looked to be some sort of outfit from a fantasy game, with a white long-sleeved tunic that was unbuttoned at the collar. A forest green vest with copper buttons hugged his torso incompletely at the top, brown trousers with a leather belt and small leather pouch around his waist and a pair of black leather boots, upturned at the top with buckles around them.

...Now that she had a closer look, the eyes that had her distracted amongst the fight looked... different from any sort of eyes she's ever seen. The pupils were long and thin, reminding her of a cat's eyes. No. That doesn't sound like it justifies it. They reminded her more of... a dragon's eyes. Like the ones she's seen in her picture books from her childhood. His irises golden, shining just like the precious metals that the dragons in stories coveted so much. They made her feel like they were drawing her in to them, doing their best to make her forget where she was and what she was doing."

Based on this, what kind of name do you guys think I should use? And please don't suggest "Draco". I feel like I'm ripping that name off of the Harry Potter character whenever I even consider it.

    Thank you!

  • What is this kind of train called?

I usually see this in animes and mangas, where a character(s) are traveling someplace and they use a train that looks like it has only one car. What I want to know is if that kind of train actually has a name. Does anyone know it or have an idea on what it is?

  • Wax for my braces help?

I just got my braces yesterday, and my orthodontist said that I can put a small ball of wax on them when they bother me. (The inside of my cheeks look like cottage cheese because of them so I put a little on where they split the skin.) But he didn't say anything about for when I eat or brush my teeth. Any advice please?

    Thanks!
