  • Have you ever been to a natural horsemanship clinic? How was it?

I am thinking of attending a natural horsemanship clinic. It has Parellli certified instructors. I have never been to one and was wondering what others have experienced.

  • has anyone had any experience with using rubber or plastic horseshoes?

I'm interested in trying them, but I don't know anyone who has ever used them. I prefer having my horse barefoot, but some of the places I ride can be rocky. From what I have read about them they allow the horse's feet to move more naturaly. So I was wondering if anyone has had an experience with rubber horseshoes?

  • Showmanship, what is the best way to teach turn on the haunches?

I have started showing my yearling in showmanship. I know how to ride a turn on the haunches, but I'm not sure how to teach him to do it from the ground. How do you teach your horse to do turn on the haunches?

I take him to local shows to get him out and used to things. I've never shown in showmanship before.

  • Do Tennessee Walking horses Rack?

I ask this because I thought they did a show walk and a running walk. At the few TWH shows I've been too they ask for the running walk, never a rack

I'm curious becasue I was told today that some TWH rack.

I know ASB rack, but I thought all the other gaited breeds have their own name for their own unique gaits.

I would really apreciate some clarification.

Also, if someone could tell me what a registeted racking horse is. I never heard of them until I moved south. What is their lineage, and how they came about. They look alot like TWH.

  • Food for a cat that has a history of UTI. Does ash lower the ph levels in urine?

My cat has had three UTIs since I got her two years ago. The vet recommends buying cat food that reduces her urine ph level.

I've been feeding her Purina One urinary track health. The problem is that she doesn't like the food. She avoids eating it, has lost weight, became grouchy and has taken up hunting for food. Before switching she was a sweet loving cat, but now she is cranky and irritable.

I was looking at the store for other brands to buy. I couldn't find any other brands for urinary track. (at my grocery store. I'm in the county: I don't live near a petco/petsmart) But I did compare ingrediants and the main difference I found in Purina's One Urinary Health and the other purina varieties is ash. Is that the ingrediant that lowers the PH. If so can I switch her to IAMS orginal. It contains ash in it's ingredaints list, but doesn't mention helping with reducing PH levels.

Or does anyone have any recomindations as to a brand of food that reduces PH levels that my cat would eat

  • What breed is this 13.3 hand gaited pony?

She is stocky with a thick mane and tail. Her main is double sided. She has good hard feet and grows a thick winter coat. Her owner did not know anyhting about her. I didn't know she was gaited when I got her. She has a good head on her, she not spooky, and when she does spook she just stops. She has a good attitude, when she gets mad she paws with her right front. I don't know much about gaited horses and I was wondering what breed she might be. There are some pictures of her at www.rodeoron.com/lacy

  • Can my saddle be fixed? Leather/stitching is worn out on the edge of the seat.?

My saddle is an older albion dressage saddle. I've had it six years and brought it used. The stitching is coming undone on the edge of the seat. I was wondering if this is repairable or if I need to start saving for a new saddle.
