  • spouse suspended license, live together, can I get auto insurance?

Actually, it is my son in law who has a suspended license. My Daughter's policy was canceled and she wants to start a new policy, but she says that no insurance company will touch her because she lives with someone with a suspended license. Is this for real? Sound like a bunch of hog-wash to me. She lives in Massachusetts.

  • Employee claiming pulmonary embolism. Possible to fake this?

We have an employee who is milking the system to the max. So far he has been out for months with a shoulder problem (of course, nothing that shows up on x-rays). One day before he was due to get back to work (had a miracle "recovery" just before his regular sick time ran out) he claims now that he has a pulmonary embolism. Is that something that can be faked? He just found a way to milk more free sick time when his shoulder miraculously healed itself. This guy is a total "plug" and won't do a stitch of work to save his life. We work for the state, and they roll out the red carpet for lowlife leeches like him. We're hoping for something to bag him on.

  • what defines immigration proceedings?

On Immigration form I-130, Box 16, they ask, "has your relative ever undergone immigration proceedings?" Does anybody know what exactly they mean? Do they mean if there has been any kind of paperwork filed on this person, or more specifically, has this person ever had a meeting with immigration, a visa issued, or some other tangible progress through the system?

  • What motivates atheists / theists to do good.?

I am a Catholic. To me, my motivation to do good is that it is what is expected of me, BECAUSE it is better for everyone if people do good. I don't do good because I want to go to heaven, that is just an effect of being a virtuous person. Jesus set the example and it feels good to do good. So I know what MY motivation is. Tell me yours. Do atheists do good because they don't want to be arrested? Maybe it has to do with living in harmony with your neighbors, but isn't that kind of phony or selfish if it is just to avoid hassles? What is that something inside you that tells you to be and/or do good?

  • Brazil Visa..Quickest way to obtain. Mail or visit consulate (Boston).?

The process seems a little skewed. You have to request an appointment online, but it's been a week and no answer. Calling on the phone is useless. Is it quicker to do it via mail?

  • Word perfect 10 spell checker says there is a problem with spell checkers windows registry information.?

The little window comes up that says that there is a problem with spell checkers windows registry information. my version of windows xp came with my computer new. It is NOT a pirated version or anything. Every time I use it the same window pops up and keeps popping up when I try to close it. Spell checker works, but every time it hits a word that is misspelled the error window comes up again. I have to click it closed about 10 times before it moves on to the next word.

  • flying and claustrophobia...?

My wife can fly in large aircraft with no problem. I have taken her up in my small plane on nice, calm days and she is okay for a little while, but then she gets nervous and sick. I don't think it's motion sickness. She does not fear flying, but she says that she's antsy about being in such a small, closed in cockpit. What can I do to help her with this? Is hypnosis a viable option? She would love to share the experience of flying with me, but she has tried several times with the same result.

  • Why are atheists insulting to believers, while believers pray for them?

I don't expect atheists to care that someone is praying for them, but it is still a person making an effort to care about someone else, whether you believe in God or not. It seems that so many atheists are so cynical and rude to the believers in this forum. I don't get it. If you think we're stupid, fine, that's your opinion. Are you rude to mentally retarded people too?

I have gotten 3 bills for magazine subscriptions that I did not order. I went online and canceled them. Is this a scam? I have a feeling that my wife's ex boyfriend may be doing this to be a petty little jerk. Is it possible to send subscriptions to someone else like that? Your thoughts....

  • wrongful discharge lawsuit?

My wife was terminated from her job. She was employed 6 years with an excellent record of attendence and performance. She took a long vacation to Brazil, but had some paperwork problems on her return. She got back 3 days late. One of the days was a national holiday, on a monday. Company policy is that after 3 days of no contact, an employee can be terminated. Do we have a case for any kind of lawsuit? She really wants her job back. Back wages? Any info would be appreciated.

  • Wife needs Apicoectomy. Health insurance coverage?

I asked twice before with long descriptions of the procedure. If you are familiar with this, my question is: Is it considered a medical necessity to have this done? My dental insurance only covers $1000 and the procedure is supposed to be $8000. She needs it done on the 6 upper front teeth. I am hoping that my health insurance plan will cover it. She has an active infection in the bone and I feel that it is medically necessary to have this done. What are your feelings on this? I am not interested in an answer from "Biologic Dental Consultant" thank you.

  • Wife Having Apicoectomy....expanded question. Thank you.?

my wife had had root canal work done long ago on her 6 upper front teeth. Apparently, the root canal work was not done all the way to the tip. Partial fills. The way It was explained to me is that the bone surrounding the roots has an active infection. They are planning to do an apicoectomy. They open the gum tissue near the teeth to expose the underlying bone and to remove any inflamed or infected tissue. the very end of the roots are also removed. A small filling may be placed to seal the end of the root canal. They then explained that they put a substance in the hole where the infected bone was removed. This substance acts as a catalyst for bone growth to fill the hole. Sorry if this isn't too technical, but the booklet and paperwork don't give too many specifics about this portion of the treatment. There is something called a "Retrograde Fill", "Bone replacement graft", and of course, the "Apicoectome-anterior". They said that they would start her on an antibiotic as well.

  • Wife needs APICOECTOMY, Bone grafts, Endodontics.?

She has infection in the bone supporting her 6 upper front teeth. My dental insurance covers only $1000 per patient per year. I have been quoted a cost of over $8000 for the procedure to remove infection, and graft bone. The Endodontist will not bill my Health Insurance company. If I get a letter of Medical Necessity is it possible that they will cover it? Should I take her to a regular doctor for evaluation and the letter? Please, any input would be appreciated.
