The other day at work I had a particularly difficult customer and I must have handled him well because the lady behind him in line said "Oh you were so patient and kind to him, you must be a christian". I appreciate the compliment but I resent the idea that only a christian could be patient and kind.

I also resent it when customers come in and give me a pamplet about thier religion in order to "save" me. Is it just me or are these complete strangers over stepping their boundarys?

What I mean is I have wireless internet in my home through comcast, do I need a special internet plan to use the free wi-fi in public places? Or will my computer just detect a network and I'm good to go?

I went to a restaraunt with my grandmother the other day I was paying and she was leaving the tip. We had a great meal and the waitress was very good but my grandmother only tipped 10 percent. I always tip at least 15 percent but I thought this waitress deserved at least 20 percent. I had no problem adding the rest of the money to the tip so my grandma didn't have to leave more than she was comfortable with but I also didn't want to make a big thing about it and seem like I thought my grandma was cheap or something. What do you do in a situation like that? I ended up sneaking more money on the table after my grandmother got up.. What would you all have done?

Will it really damage the car and how? Also how long should you let it warm up before you drive it?

He has never lived at the house I'm at yet they send him mail there. He has never had the phone number I have yet they keep calling me. I pay my bills I shouldn't have to deal with creditors harrassing me! Telling them he doesn't live here doesn't stop them calling, giving them his number doesn't even work! Is there a legal way to make them stop?

Hes more a co worker than a friend. He wrote a book and said he got it published so I bought a copy from him. As it turns out its pretty clear he published it himself and he completly skipped the editing part of writing. Its about the worst book I've ever read there are no plots or descriptions. All the dialog sounds false like no one would ever talk like that. And a bunch of times for no apparent reason he throws in a big word that doesn't actually mean what he seems to think it means. I don't know if hes trying to make himself sound smarter or what but it actually dumbs the book down. I don't know what to do. He is going to ask me what I thought of the book and I don't want to tell him it was good because he plans to write more of them and it would be nice if the next one was better but I don't know him well enough to tell him that his book is awful, so what would you tell him?

I'm celebrating Christmas with my Dad next weekend since he will be out of town for the next few months and he is short on funds. He wants a Christmas list from me but I don't know what to ask for since I don't want anything to be too expensive. What are some good inexpensive gifts I could ask for? Any ideas?

This is where religion alway lost me. My Dad is a very religious man and he tells me that God always was but that doesn't make sense to me. In an argument about how the universe was created he will always fall back on God because according to him evolution, big bang, etc aren't plausible. I don't know exactly what I believe. In a deep down sort of way I believe in God but I can't accept that God just always was. I don't understand how that is more plausible. So my question is where did God come from? Please don't quote scripture just talk with your own words.

I recently got a new laptop with vista on it and for the last week I just had the one administrator account but today I created two new accounts on it and they don't seem to have any of the things that I added to the original one (pictures mostly and an instant messanger) Some of these things took me hours to find and I don't know if I'll be able to find them again to just install them on the other accounts. Is there a way to go to my files and say make these available to everyone?

I bought a dress for a wedding I'm going to and then like a week later someone told me the color scheme. Now I'm not sure if I should be looking for a different dress or if the one I have will do. What do you all think?

Its a 2000 Ford Taurus that I just bought. All the other locks work just not the drivers one. It doesn't lock automatically when I get to 15mph, it doesn't lock or unlock when I hit the power lock buttons and it doesn't work with the button thing on my keychain. Is there anything simple that may cause this?

I have a budget of around $8,000, I would like a little car with four doors thats dependable and hopefully good on gas. Beyond that I don't really care. I would like it to be newer and with as little miles as possible but I'm more worried about it being dependable than newer. I've been all over to more car lots than I can count and I'm not finding anything. What should I be looking for?

I found a 2001 Daewoo car with only 28000 miles on it for $5000 I like it but my mechanic doesn't know anything about Daewoo in fact he had never even seen one. Does anyone know if they are good cars and what sort of problems are common to them? Anything would help.

Is there a way to put movies that are on dvd on my player? I know the company always says they can't help because of copyright problems but what about things like home videos with no copyright issues? It seems like you can only put video on if you can save it to the computer and I can't figure out how to do that. Can anyone help me get video on my video mp3 player since the company refuses to?

I've never had cable or satellite I'm still using an antennea, I'm not so much concerned with all the extra channels mostly I'm interested in reception. I'm in the Detroit area so we have a wide spectrum of weather issues. I know satellite is cheaper but is it reliable in bad weather? Is cable?
