I live across a street from a park and there are no crosswalks to access it. It's only a two lane street but it is very busy most of the day.

The other day I was at a city park in San Diego with my kid. There were a lot of other families there too. A man arrived, took off his dog's leash and collar, and started playing fetch with his large black pit bull. I asked him politely to put his dog on a leash. I even showed him the "Keep your dog on a leash" sign that was posted. He told me to "Get lost buddy".

Is that a 911 call? Not an emergency yet. Who do I call?

I was looking at google earth and noticed that some of the buildings downtown have a circled 5 on top of them. What does this signify?

The Torrey Pines golf course is publicly owned by the city. However, in the US Open General Information section it states, "No Weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms or knives) will be allowed on the course".

I thought the Law Enforcement Officer's Safety Act of 2004 stated that you can carry unless it is forbidden in a State Law? Can they legally forbid off-duty carry by stating it in their ticket policy?

How can we be expected to watch television AND listen to you at the same time? It's just not possible. Sorry. It's not our fault. It's the way we were built.

I've never watched anime but I'm a fan of Superman, Batman, and Xmen comics. What would be the best anime series to start watching?

Are they arrested? Do they lose their car? Does it differ from state to state?

At all the immigration protests, all you see is people waving the Mexican flag. People go through all the trouble of leaving their homeland, their family, and their heritage just to bring it back here. They crossed deserts, avoided smugglers and thieves, spent days/months planning their journey, and successfully made it to their destination. They arrive in the United States in order to show allegiance to the place they tried so hard to leave? Why? Why don't they wave the American Flag?

Recently, a woman was shot in Oceanside, California when she tried to run over an off-duty officer, who was on foot, during a road rage incident. The newspapers keep emphasizing that the woman was "unarmed" at the time of the incident. Isn't a car considered a deadly weapon? Was she armed?

Also I'm in California if that makes a difference.

This is our first child and I was wondering if we should do anything for a baby's first birthday? The closest family we have is over a thousand miles away so a party seems kind of dumb. I was just going to buy a cake, wrap some presents, and take a few pictures of us wearing some silly hats. Is there anything special you are suppose to do for a baby's first birthday?

I used to work with my friend in the US until he moved home 3 years ago. He asks me to come and visit all the time. I'm thinking about going. Is this place safe? I was planning on going there for 2 weeks. Is that too long? Will it be boring? Does this town have a nightlife? I'd appreciate any first hand info. Thanks.
